We went here for the first time today on Christmas. We were so excited to try a new place for dinner. They were busy yes, but an hour wait for food is ridiculous. You are a restaurant after all. The cocktails we had were subpar. When the food finally arrived it was cold and over cooked. It looked like a child plated it. We didn’t even try it because it looked so gross and was so cold. We ended up talking to the manager agreed to cut our losses and walked out. Sad thing is we ended up at Denny’s for dinner and it was amazing. The only other place around open on Christmas night I would like to say I would try here again but the truth is I probably won’t. There are plenty of other places to eat here in Gilbert that are solid.

The happy hour specials are great the food was delicious. Music was kinda loud but overall great ambiance. Gets really busy here our server keep forgetting to get what we asked for.

Great service and playlist, plus we made it just on time for the Happy Hour menu! Went before my flight, while visiting family in Phoenix. There were several great options as far as food and beverages. We had the California roll, chicken fried rice, dumplings and satay ( a lottle dry). Solid options for a happy hour menu, so I’m sure their regular menu offers even more deliciousness.

Had a great experience at Kona Grill. The sushi was fresh and really well done, and the macadamia nut chicken was super good — easily the standout of the meal. Everything was flavorful, well presented, and the overall vibe made it a great spot for a nice dinner. Would definitely come back.

So, I have the happy hour Burger. It wasn’t horrible but wasn’t that good. Kinda had to force myself to finish it no flavor at all. The service is okay Young individuals more concerned with talking to each other than serving but wasn’t bad service just wasn’t anything extraordinary.. this was the first time I had the burger normally I get sushi or the lettuce wrap. I’ll stick with that next time. The atmosphere is always nice.

My daughter and I went for dinner tonight. The calamari and sushi rolls were pretty good.
The service was terrible.
The $15 cheesecake is tiny.
Everything there is overpriced for what you get. Don’t recommend.

I was so excited to try the prime rib dip. For $30 it must be special right? The last one I paid that price for at Charleston‘s was my favorite ever. But what Kona Grill served me by delivery or pieces of the parts that you don’t use. So much FAT! Even the pieces that didn’t look like that were filled with fat and ended up spitting it out. The whole thing was a waste. My sons was really fatty too. Really Kona Grill?

Where do I begin? I can’t believe this restaurant is still open. I don’t review often but something needs to change in this place…

I booked via Resy for 7pm dinner. We arrived 10 mins or so before 7 and when we got there there was already a long line at the reception area & the hostess was nowhere to be found- she was overwhelmed, she works the station alone and she kept on leaving the reception desk. People were canceling due to the long wait. We had to queue for 20 mins just to talk to her and by the time I spoke to her it was already 7:15. We told her we had a 7pm reservation but she didn’t honor the reservation she said we have to wait 20 more mins because she’s behind. There’s no apologies nor courtesy whatsoever at this point. Other customers had to sneak at the machine to see how far down the queue they are because the hostess wasn’t there most of the time she’s going back and forth to the kitchen to push for online orders – that’s how bad it was.

By the time we were seated, we’re already pissed and hungry but disappointment didn’t stop there because we had to wait 45 more mins for the food to arrive. After ordering the food arrived at 8:15 already and this is the pathetic state of the $44 plate I got. My jaw dropped at the state of this … This is not the work of a chef or a trained cook. Makes you wonder who runs this place? This is supposed to be a Chilean Seabass dish that ws marked with “F” being the customer’s favorite but there’s no love nor care put into it. I felt like it’s missing 3 pcs of carrots or something. It’s not cooked properly, it was flaking- the crumbs on the plate are the flakes from the tinie tiny quarter of a seabass, it was greasy/oily, no seasoning, and served on top of 4 pcs of bokchoy. Cant believe I waited for a long time for this food… it’s not a work of a chef its street-food level of food for $44. It’s a scam. It’s a ripoff. I know it’s a very frank review but someone needs to know and something needs to change with this restaurant.

If it’s not for Resy I wouldn’t have eaten here. The only pleasant part was the waitstaff. The food and the management are disappointing.

I cant believe this place is still open. Dont bother to come here unless you want to be stressed and you want to ruin your night. Total bill $144+ including tip (for 2 adults and a 12 yo kid.) Not coming back again….

Biggest regret I ever made in my life. I recently ordered an Asian salad and I was in for a great surprise. They served me fast food quality salad. I ordered protein to go with my salad and received gas station style food. The pieces of chicken were small and was unbelievably dry. This restaurant was really good many years ago and is not the same. Stay away from Kona Grill! They charged me $50 for a salad with 2 options of protein. I can buy something much better at a local grocery store. The food quality is at the lowest and the prices are inflated to the max!!

We came to Kona Grill for Friday happy hour and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent, drinks were strong, and the food came out fast and super flavorful especially the sushi and sliders. The watermelon margarita alone is reason enough to come back. The happy hour prices are AMAZING. Definitely our new go-to spot for happy hour!
