We came in around 1:30pm on a Saturday and it’s empty, so we got to use one of their reserved parking spot in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is small and has 19 seats. They were playing American pop and it feels like a grab and go place instead of a restaurant.
We were greeted upon entry and the waitress gave us the menu without a smile on her face. The price is on the higher end, so we ordered a spicy chicken teriyaki for $15.75 and a magu ham roll for $18.25. The price is comparable to the Thai place in the same plaza, but that place has a huge serving size.
Despite being empty without us, the food took more than 10 minutes.. a bit slow, but it’s decent. The fish in the roll was fresh and the spicy teriyaki was decent. It’s not the siracha type of spicy, but more subtle. A good thing is that they are not stingy about sauce, so I can see why everyone likes this place. I’m fine either way, so it was a bit too saucy for me (both the salad and the teriyaki bowl).
Overall it’s a good restaurant to eat around Kirkland Costco, the food was fresh but just a bit slow.
My husband and daughter ordered the crunchy California, spicy California, and shrimp tempura rolls. They say the rolls were flavorful, spicy, and perfectly sized!
I only have a photo of the poke bowl because a roll is a roll
Good quality of food, very fulfilling experience. Seems to be run by a family. A bit slow but that was ok and chill. Instead of huge lineup and crowd waiting, I truly enjoyed the meal.
Udon noodles were nice chewy texture, the broth was very tasty and not bland.
Mixed poke bowl was confirmed yummy by family member 🙂
Fish tasted fresh and not fishy. We have a family member very picky on fish. She is not a fan of raw fish except for spicy tuna rolls. But tasting some of the mixed poke, she confirmed no fishy taste or smell, she was able to enjoy the food.
Very cute small restaurant, went after 5pm on a Friday so it was not busy. But the road to get there was busy due to costco shoppers
