Again, I was met by Hugo and wonderful example of human compassion and Asian humbleness.
This time I ordered a large Tom Kha soup and fresh springs rolls + a new dish called Sen Chan Pad Pu w/ shrimp. I show picture below. I really love this place and I highly recommend it.

I was meant by a wonderful young Asian manager server named Hugo . He’s the best!
I really enjoyed this place because its atmosphere is quiet like the word restaurant suggests. I hadn’t been here for a while, but I had a great tasting Tom Kah lemon grass, shrimp soup and some fabulous fresh spring rolls wrapped in a bean opaque curd. They just melt it in your mouth, noodles, lettuce, and all. I’m really looking forward to get back to this place for some peace, quiet and wonderful food selection they have.

God bless you all love your Thai food.

Dear owners and staff

We were greeted with a nice welcome on our arrival by Amy.
Thank you Amy for your wonderful attentiveness and excellent service. My son and I appreciate you.
Fresh egg rolls were great as well as garlic chicken and sons hot Mongolian beef selection.
Thanks for the wonderful food.

Dangly Soooo Amazzing.

The 5 Chefs that worked their magic again here have outstanding skillsets when it comes to this longtime community Thai anchor restaurant. The customer service here is excellent and well managed from the time you enter til exit. Amazingly tasty food and Chef creativity are the key to Komodo continued success.

komol is located centrally inside the newly polished parking area of this 50 year Old Historic Commercial at 953 East Sahara Ave.
Thanks to Ron McMenamy & family as well as the business owners tenaciously remaining here thru this trying last year we still have some great restaurant contenders here in Vegas with great reasonable prices.

As Vegas locals, I’m surprised we hadn’t come sooner. We came before our reservation slot but the staff was welcoming and sat us in right away. Here’s what we ordered:

Vegetarian combo appetizer: this came with fried eggplant tofu, sweet potato, fried broccoli, and spring roll with sweet/hot sauce. The best part was the fried sweet potato as it was refreshing with the sauce. Everything was well coated in batter and perfectly fried.

Vegetarian satay: this was our second time eating satay ever and is likely the best so far. It was well cut, seasoned, and pair well with the peanut sauce. This was my favorite dish of the evening!

Pad Kee Mao: can’t go wrong with this one as it’s a classic. We added soy chicken to this and it was the same vegan meat as the satay so we had no complaints there but it was made slightly different to better pair with the flat rice noodles.

Yellow curry: our first time ordering yellow curry ever and we were amazed. Our favorite is panang but this definitely tops that as it was rich and creamy. Absolutely a stunning dish (my wife’s favorite)!

Mango sticky rice: it’s been several years since we had this, and we were hoping for sweet mangoes as it’s summer and mango season. We were not disappointed at all because the mangoes were perfectly sweet and the sticky rice was made to perfection (the crispy golden rice on the top has a nice touch). We were blow away – definitely a great way to end a meal.

Great location and restaurant overall and the staff made it even better. If you’re in town, this is the Thai restaurant to be at.

This restaurant really surprised me. From the outside it’s quite inconspicuous. Once you enter, you’re inside a beautiful, cozy and tranquil atmosphere.

We went at a time it wasn’t very busy. Our food arrived super fast and our service was very attentive.

The food itself was good. I appreciate that they have several vegan options on their menu. I ordered the yellow curry with tofu. Maybe I would have enjoyed it a bit more if it had less and smaller chunks of tofu. Otherwise it was good. The spring rolls were decent.

Portions are big and price is fair. Worth it if you don’t want to spend all your time on the Las Vegas Strip.

Gotta be honest. We came here because our normal spot, Arawan, was closed. Looks like for good? Don’t know. But it was dinner and we just went next door to this spot. We had never been before.
The food and service were good. The prices reasonable. We had pad Thai, yellow curry, and massaman curry. The pad Thai was just okay but their curries are outstanding!
Fast forward the next week. We decided to try the chicken satay and the $13 lunch specials. The chicken was incredibly moist and the peanut sauce was SO GOOD we asked for it on our lunch special salads. Yum!!! Pretty good spring rolls but a bit like the pad Thai, not out of this world.
We chose the Thai chili basil with pork and Pad See Ew with chicken. They were perfection to be honest.
We are now big fans of this spot. Very comfortable inside, great food, and great service.
It won’t deter us from going but we did find the constant phone ringing from the host desk a bit off-putting. Not a fan of hearing the phone ring a few feet away over and over while trying to relax. But maybe that is just us.

Nice easy spot for a nice range of vegetation friendly Thai food, had Pad See Yew with Tofu from their lunch special menu. The service was a little slow, food was a bit bland (and not spicy at all for a requested medium heat) but the prices were great, was served a nice little starter and it was a nice meal regardless. Would go back again for low key dining when in that area.

This Thai restaurant is truly exceptional and ranks among the finest in the US! Having explored numerous Thai establishments, I can confidently say that this one easily secures a spot in the top three. The service provided was truly impressive, with prompt delivery of our food. Our appetizers consisted of delectable egg rolls and wontons, both bursting with flavor. As for the main course, we indulged in the mouthwatering duck chili mint and the fried catfish accompanied by a delightful red curry sauce. These dishes were nothing short of extraordinary! Our overall experience was nothing short of wonderful, leaving us eager to revisit this establishment in the future.

This used to be my favorite thai restaurant. But everytime I go, something changed (not for the best). My favorite things was their vegan/vegetarian options other than just tofu. And the taste was pretty close to what I was used to growing up with my mom’s cooking.
Last time I was there a couple years ago I got the mushroom lahb and they used straw mushrooms. Was so good. I went today and they used regular button mushrooms (fine) but put too much rice powder or whatever that is. And their noodle soup broth didnt cover the noodles as it usually comes everywhere. And I know it was vegetarian so I cant complain too much about it not having much flavor. After adding some of the jalapeño sauce it was good.
I dont like leaving negative reviews but I feel there are some things that can be improved upon. Please keep the many vegetarian options tho we dont have much of that witu good taste in vegas. Oh, and another good thing is I was able to request “no sugar” in the food. Many places have the sauce etc pre-made and its too sweet.

Wow! Such incredible flavors.

Had no trouble parking or getting a table at 8 on Saturday. Very friendly and helpful service.

Thai tea and coffee were delicious.
Tom kha goong was so good, maybe best I’ve had. Herbal salad had so many flavors, never had anything so complex. Shrimp satay was excellent and lots of shrimp. Seaweed soup was really good too. I wasn’t so fond of the corn soup or sea bass with garlic sauce. Vegetarian appetizer combo was pretty good, like vegetable tempura but very lightly breaded.

No alcohol of any sort which was disappointing, minus 1 star for that.

I got here for the first time. The restaurant makes me think of real authentic Thai food in Thailand. We came with friends who are vegetarian and they were so happy and grateful. They have their specific part of vegetarian menu and we all did enjoy a lot even I am not a vegetarian. Other non-vegetarian food are awesome too. Just WOW.
