The sushi here is amazing. The Salmon is top notch, along with the Albacore. The wusabi is the best I’ve had at any sushi restaurant. The lighting is pleasant and not too bright or dim. Pleasantly quiet and service is quick and respectful. Definitely a 10/10, will be back for more. But with friends…or a date.

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Komo. I gave two stars because the actual sushi was decent. The service however was 100% terrible. We sat down at 6:20 on a Wednesday evening and did not leave until 8: 15p. Timing for the appetizers from order to receiving was 40 minutes. My wife’s margarita that she asked for with salted rim came with a giant bowl of salt and nothing on the rim. Our entrees took over an hour and 20 minutes to arrive and the order was wrong. My son 9 years old and asked for another roll and asked our server if it would take as long this time she said no. After receiving our bill and having dessert, his role had still not shown up. She finally brought it after we had paid and we asked for it to just be wrapped up to go. This is our second time coming and the first time also had major issues with food timing. We will not be back.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Komo Sushi in Sherwood! From start to finish, everything was perfect. I ordered the Bento Box with Miso Salmon—the fish was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The Spicy Salmon Roll had just the right amount of heat, while the Philadelphia Roll was fresh and creamy. The Salmon Skin Roll was a delightful surprise—crispy, savory, and packed with flavor. Pairing it all with their house sake was the perfect finishing touch.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy yet refined. If you’re a sushi lover in the area, Komo Sushi is an absolute must-visit! Can’t wait to return.

Tried this sushi restaurant out while in the area. The interior was clean and cute. The waitress was kind and attentive. The food was delicious and fresh. Probably the best uni ive had in a long time for a good price.

We decided to go to KOMO Sushi for dinner on a whim. This time, it was just me and my partner without the kids. The restaurant has a cute, aesthetically pleasing space that offers a good balance between being well-attended and providing adequate privacy. The staff was friendly, and the environment was clean and welcoming.

I had a pork belly dish that was delicious and reasonably priced. One surprise was the Western music playing; we would have preferred Japanese music for a more immersive experience. Additionally, the temperature inside was rather chilly, so bringing a sweatshirt might be a good idea if you tend to get cold easily.

Overall, it was a great experience!

Sushi was fresh with nice sized portions but I asked for wasabi and ginger and a very stingy portion of ginger was brought. Also, the soy sauce wasn’t left at the table. I had to flag down our waitress for more (and the ginger). She did offer to freshen up my tea. Not my favorite local place. Atmosphere was quiet and comfortable.

A surprise gem in Sherwood. Each dish just had a little extra crafted flavor compared to cookie cutter suburb sushi.
The miso soup had an extra seafood umami rich broth.
The kids really liked stirring up the Monkey’s Head appetizer like it was brain surgery.
Sashimi deluxe combo truly had a few fish cuts I haven’t had since japan. All the fish was both beautiful and flavorful.

Service was a little slow, and the place was almost empty by time food arrived, but worth it. They were very kind to rearrange tables for a party of 6 that arrived just after 7, and we had maybe 15 min wait.

I’m putting this place in my rotation when returning to Portland from wine County or coast.

We’ve been to Komo several times in the past few years and we’re never disappointed. They have very fresh fish and refreshing flavors. The Sugar Daddy is one of my favorites with that little lemon on top. I also love the Hama Hama. If you like veggie tempura, try it here! They have lotus root in the tempura which I don’t see often. Presentation is very thoughtful here and service is top notch.
