Maraming Salamat!
They have a hot table as well as made to order dishes. I got the *Beef Kaldereta* and the *Adobo Chicken* from the hot table. It was a combo priced at about $14 for 2 entrees & double rice. I also ordered the *Lumpia* (like egg rolls) & *Pancit* (Rice noodles, veggies & meat if you want it) which was cooked to order.
It was all delicious. The memories of flavor from the Lumpia & Kalderteta, so good!! The meats were fork tender and “fall-off-the-bone”, the flavors from herbs & spices well defined (bay leaf still present in the sauce). There were plenty of veggies in a FULL BOX of Pancit & the Lumpia were crispy & fresh.
If you haven’t had Filipino food… go try it here… you’ll be back again, I’m sure if it.
Beef Lumpia was crunchy and delicious and fries has a condiment station with many sauces. Fish sauce and salt was a good taste to this snack on the go.
Stop in and get some takeout.
Staff was attentive and nice, ready to take order and help. Bell if they are not at counter.
If you are alone get the 2 entree + 2 scoops of rice (white or garlic fried).
If you want a sweet treat, they have multiple desserts from ice cream mixed cups, flan to cassava cake.
And if you bring a group there is pork lumpia by the pound and bulk orders of spring rolls to split with you coffee and tea. Drink refills are 1$.
They were light on fish sauce and spice level, and have a full sauce bar to adjust the flavors to your liking. Including chili oil, flavored vinegar, and banana ketchup along with old bay and American condiment.
The adobo chicken, menudo and garlic rice were amazing!! The halo-halo might be my new favorite dessert.
Will absolutely be coming back soon with friends! Thank you for your kindness and wonderful food. ❤️
Being a Morena mixed Filipina Komida has really brought back childhood memories of the “turo turo” fast food places I used to eat at growing up in the Philippines. We were warmly welcomed by Jem (I hope that’s how her name is spelled) and everyone working there. All the food looked sooooo good it was hard to decide, but I settled on two of my favorites: dinuguan and bistek with garlic fried rice (although the pinakbet was looking very good) My southern husband ordered beef caldereta and pork adobo with garlic fried rice. I also ordered a dessert, sapin sapin, to go!
Filipino food is more than pancit and lumpia. I encourage everyone to leave their comfort zone and try other dishes. Komida is the place. We definitely intend on returning.
Maraming maraming salamat!
