I’ve only had takeout from this place, and my experiences have been amazing. Generous portions and beautiful presentation. My new go-to sushi place when I want to stay in!

Classic Japanese service – you are treated like king and/or queen. Michi served me at the bar solo. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and comfortable.
The restaurant is large with plenty of places to sit without squeezing tight. Sushi was FRESH and quality. Will come back forever. Thanks for a great experience as always.

Spacious place at a nice location. Got chicken wings, popcorn shrimp and Alaska roll for appetizers along with green tea. All three tasted great, the portion size is a bit small for the appetizer but they are priced accordingly. Got chicken Tokyo fusion for main course, that’s enough for two people. Overall good taste, vibes and a very reasonably priced dinner costing only approx 20 per person.

We had lunch and brunch here a couple of times. The back of the restaurant was bigger and brighter than the front and had a nice water view. Service was friendly and efficient.
For lunch, we enjoyed the sushi rolls. The Sukiyaki Don had tender thin sliced beef, but too sweet for my taste.
For brunch, we liked their Mini Unagi. It came with a small bowl of tasty udon noodle soup. The Yakizakana Teishou was a great value with a lightly grilled branzino filet and sides that were typical of a bento box. I wish the fish skin were charred to add more flavor and crispiness.

Nice option for sushi in the area. There are not a ton in Newport/Exchange and esp. near my office. They have the standard selection of fish that you’d expect from the more Americanized style sushi joints. I thought their offerings were fresh tho and it didn’t break the bank.
I saw a lot of curry lunch specials when I went. Have not tried it but will next time.

I came to this restaurant many times a while back and it became my favorite spot. Their green tea creme brulee and lychee martini won my heart. Last night we brought the kids with us to celebrate my birthday. So happy to say it’s exactly as I remembered. Our waiter, Fernando, was the absolute best with a great sense of humor. The restaurant is always clean and beautifully decorated. The Christmas lights added a classy touch and the atmosphere is always quiet and pleasant. The wings and popcorn shrimp were the kid’s favorite. I also love that they provide sectioned plates specifically for kids. The sake was great! Hubby and I truly enjoyed ourselves. I recommend visiting this restaurant. We live in a world of ordering on our phones instead of stepping out. I highly suggest actually visiting Komegashi and enjoying the atmosphere and food in person.

Food was good and service was adequate. Place has decent views and ambiance.
Items we had:
1. Miso soup (4/5)
2.spicy salmon roll sushi (5/5)
3. Chicken kotsu curry (5/5)
4. Udon noodles with shrimp tempura (3/5) was a little bland and lite on the flavors.
Overall a good experience at a convenient location, would go back.

From the outside this one lace looks quiet and plain, but actually it is quite lovely inside. The staff is attentive and I noticed that there were several sets of regulars around us which is always a good sign. I’m was surprised by the generous amount of fish in the maki. I can see this place becoming my go-to spot for the times when I want to go somewhere low-key, but with good quality traditional rolls or don.

This place is amazing! Delicious dishes and desserts, and great service. The only thing is I wish they had a little more vegetarian options (even though the ones that I tried were still delicious). Highly recommend the green tea fried ice cream!
