We stopped by Koku Ramen & Bites and were pleasantly surprised by how good the ramen was. This is very much a casual spot, but they deliver where it matters most: flavor.

I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen with Fried Chicken, and I’d highly recommend it. The broth was rich and savory without feeling heavy or overly salty, and the noodles were cooked to just the right texture. The fried chicken was a standout — crispy on the outside, tender inside, and it paired perfectly with the tonkatsu base. It’s definitely the way to go if you want something hearty and satisfying.

The restaurant itself has a relaxed, no-frills atmosphere — more of a quick, comfortable diner-style setting than a formal sit-down restaurant. Service was efficient but on the lighter side in terms of engagement. Not unfriendly, just straightforward and minimal, which fits the casual vibe.

Overall, Koku Ramen & Bites is a great choice if you’re looking for excellent ramen without the upscale setting or price tag. Come for the food, keep your expectations casual for the service, and you’ll leave happy. I would definitely return, especially for that fried chicken tonkatsu.

The ramen is not good. The tofu is dried up oily and has a terrible flavor. Noodles are not good. The broth is not normal tasting. Inedible bowl of ramen. Veggies were over cooked for asian cuisine. We could not and did not eat the ramen due to the fact that is was horrible after just tasting it. We spoke to the manager and he stated the owners would not refund and would only discount the meal 10 percent or we could get 1 free dessert. Of course neither one of these offerings is acceptable. We told them the food is inedible and they still asked if we wanted a to-go box after we couldnt eat it and were forced to pay for it. We had to pay and left hungry and Dissatisfied.
We alos had to wait a long time to get the food after we ordered. We were the only customers at the time we arrived.

The karaage was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, exactly how fried chicken should be. The Shoyu Ramen had a rich, clean broth that hit the spot, and the mala ramen was spicy in the best way, perfect for blowing off steam on a hot summer day. The Abura Soba was light and refreshing, ideal for this warm weather, and pairing it with the Fried Kimchi was a total game changer. So good!!! The Spicy Pork Rice was packed with flavor. You can really taste the owner’s touch in every bite.

We tried two kinds of Shaved Iced and wow. The passionfruit & mango one was insanely good. Tangy, sweet and creamy. I literally scraped the bowl clean! The Matcha & Red bean one had the perfect balance of slightly bitter matcha and just sweet enough red bean. Super refreshing and not too sugary. If you like things on the sweeter side, you can ask for extra condensed milk and they’ll happily give it to you.

Honestly, everything we had was delicious, but I’ll definitely be coming back for the shoyu ramen and that incredible Shaved Iced. No joke, this might be THE BEST Shaved Iced I’ve had in the states. It beats most dessert spots without question!!!

I’ve eaten at this restaurant a few times over the last couple of years, and all experiences have been pleasant. Whenever I pass by and I’m craving some soup for lunch, it’s a reliable place to stop. The building is always clean and overall provides a nice atmosphere in all seasons. Service has been fast and friendly. The menu is simple, but they offer quite a few different easy Japanese meals to casually eat, including a few different flavors of ramen. Most of the dishes aren’t overly flavorful or rich (though you can order some spicier or thicker broths), but all I’ve tried has been satisfying.

My husband went to a tap house for lunch with his friends, but the food options were too limited and left him unsatisfied. So, as soon as he got home, we went to this ramen place together. The interior had changed, giving it a more spacious, stylish, and inviting atmosphere. We enjoyed some beer and cocktails while sharing a bowl of tonkotsu ramen and gyoza. Unfortunately, the broth lacked depth and wasn’t quite satisfying for a tonkotsu lover. However, the chashu was large and melt-in-your-mouth tender, reminding me of a ramen shop we used to love in downtown. Also, the fact that the gyoza were pan-fried rather than deep-fried was a big plus! ✨

I liked the whole experience the service was really great. Did not have to wait long for the food also the waiter was super respectful and polite great place to eat and I don’t think it needs to change anyone who leaves a bad review should check themselves.

The restaurant’s environment was pleasant and the service was great. The waitress even actively asked us if we wanted straws. However, the food was not very impressive/of average taste and quality, especially considering the price.

Not a bad place to get Ramen. The menu isn’t very large, which is nice. We got the spicy tonkatsu ramen which I would recommend. The spice level was perfect and the flavor of the addition spices made the ramen. I don’t think I would have like the original ramen nearly as much so I recommend going with the spicy. We also got the karaage bun, very tasty. It was a bit spendy for one bun but the sauce and chicken were good. Overall, I would come back and eat again.

The ramen and appetizers here are delicious. The vegetarian ramen is surprisingly full of flavor. It is difficult to find restaurants with good vegetarian options but this place hits the spot. I always add more meat to my bowls so don’t expect as much meat as in the pictures.

I have tried all types of ramen broth here (shoyu, tonkotsu, miso, and vegan) and none disappoint! The bun and vegetarian gyoza are filling as well.

Drinks wise, I have only tried the hanabi cocktail sack. The drink comes with a light inside to cheer up a cloudy day. The drink is sweet and refreshing.
