This has been on my wife’s “ooooh, I’d like to try this place” list for a while & I’m glad to say we finally took the plunge…for nothing else that we now know to never go there again!
The menu isn’t clear on what’s actually in each item, the server got our order wrong & then stated “that’s what I questioned but you said that’s you wanted” (I’m paraphrasing the verbiage used somewhat but there was a pretty clear eye-roll from her thrown in for good measure).
When we got the food which, whilst it was served in a reasonable time, was pretty disgusting.
My wife’s chicken gyoza udon just tasted fishy, the gyozas tasted like…well I don’t know what they tasted like but it certainly wasn’t chicken & the noodles in mine were slimy & tasted foul.
Whilst it was place was clean, the upstairs seating area was cold.
Safe to say we won’t be back, sadly.
Honestly just go to ‘Seoul Born’ instead, literally 5mins walk away.

food was below average did not meet expectations, ordered online and half my order was missing and they didn’t even bother calling us to arrange something different just turned up with half of our food??? very poor service and lack of care very disappointing. i work in the hospitality sector and anytime my company can’t get the correct order out we call the customer to arrange a product replacement or even rearrange another driver to deliver rest of the items but they didn’t even bother to call (it’s very easy to call customer). thank you

Got an soup udon and sushi delivery recently. My gosh…. I’ve never had anything so salty in my life, not sure if its accident due to double dosing soup mix(if it’s not fresh soup), sushi was okay. Will try another time to see if their soup udon is naturally salty or a 1 off!

If you are wanting to try Kokoro but are second guessing, just TRY IT!!!
It’s absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, portion size was great that we had to take away some stuff. And plus it was Halal. There are a couple of tables on the ground floor and a stool bar but there is a bigger sitting area upstairs.
We had korean fried chicken, vegetarian spring rolls, Chicken Katsu Curry with rice, Beef Bulgogi with Noodles, Sweet and Sour Chicken with noodles and Udon dumpling soup. Would definitely go again and recommend!!!

I recently visited KOKORO Norwich, the new Korean restaurant in city. We ordered Korean Chilli Chicken and Plant based mix n match bowl. While the food itself was tasty, the overall experience was disappointing. Our meals arrived quite late, and there were mistakes with our order — the rice and noodles were swapped between bowls. The service was slow and inattentive, and the atmosphere lacked warmth and energy — I would rate both at around 2 stars.
On the positive side, the food was flavourful and the prices were reasonable. With improvements in service and better attention to detail, KOKORO Norwich has the potential to offer a much better Korean food experience.

The freshly cooked soy chicken drumsticks are a win here! Avoid the Onigiri it looks like it’s been on a diet. Lovely friendly service! And the Doriyaki is delicious. This would be a great place for a quick bite. 3 people £10 a head!

Found a metallic bolt in the pork noodle we ordered ⚠️
Horrible experience dining here. We went over Easter weekend. Service was really slow. They didn’t give us our receipt, told us to wait 15 mins while they were cooking up more food. We waited upstairs, came down 20 mins later to ask for our food and it was as if they just forgot and didn’t make it. And then I asked for our quick serve items, which the cashier then got an item completely wrong.
Food- portion was decent but food greasy and unappetising. My partner couldn’t finish hers and we took it home. Later that night wanted to reheat it only to find a metal bolt in it after some sparks on the microwave!
Customer service – dreadful. I’ve left 3 email complaints regarding this issue since April and they haven’t replied me ONCE.
tldr; stay away from this heartbreak.

‘Kokoro’ means heart in Japanese -and Norwich’s first quick service Asian spot is right in the heart of the city. Norwich had supermarkets selling takeout sushi and restaurants for finer dining, but this spot supplies the fresh and authentic sushi we love. Really good value for money -the portions and extras were abundant! -like the seaweed salad. We didn’t sit in with hot food this time but I’m very impressed by what’s on offer in there

I used to go to the Kingston restaurant all the time when I was at university. So happy they’ve decided to open in Norwich!

I visit the Kokoro, the ebi shumai gyoza was really good I also order the sweet and chili chicken with rice, noodles looks disgusting. Lady who serve bless her I think just started. She give me generates portion but when she put rice to box she squeeze to put as much as possible and the same she done with chicken therefore everything in my box was squeez and it was difficult to eat rice with chicken first I need eat chicken to get to the rice. I think regional manager should proper train staff even how to starve the food to look testy.
