This restaurant is an absolute gem and a must-go. We had an incredible dinner. The setting was intimate and personable and we were immediately taken care of. We BYOB-ed which made the evening feel even more relaxed.
Everything was prepared directly in front of us and watching the chef work was its own experience. His technique was delicate, thoughtful, and artful. We chatted with him about fish from different parts of the world, which added a personable and memorable touch.
Our server was friendly, attentive, and warm, which contributed to the welcoming setting. We can’t recommend it enough; it’s the kind experience that stays with you long after you have left.

Very small space so try to make reservations! We had reservations but so many people tried to walk in while we were there. Sushi bar sears about six and a couple of small tables fill the restaurant. Food was great. Our chef/service was spectacular. Cannot believe we didn’t try it sooner! We will be back!

Absolutely Deliscious! The Chef serves incredibly fresh food, we’ve gone many times & we always leave very happy. Too many wonderful items to choose from, the Chefs choice is great if youre hungry, its a wide variety of spectacular dishes. Excellent service, we love sitting at the sushi bar, overlooking the marina while watching the Chef prepare our tasty meal. Make reservations in advance, byob. Also a great place to celebrate special occassions with your friends, small enough to all be together yet enjoy the open space. Great for Lunch & Dinner

Phenomenal! This is a small and very authentic Japanese sushi restaurant. The sushi chef takes great care to prepare very Classic styles of nigiri and sashimi. I enjoyed that the wasabi is added on the rice inside the maki/rolls just like you will find Japan. The miso has small baby clams. The rice under the Nigiri is the perfect temperature with the perfect amount of seasoning- these details really made the sushi here special. The quality and service is excellent. I’ve already made a reservation for next week. Can’t wait for my next visit. I will try some Soba next time. Don’t forget BYOB. Arigato!

Recently dined here twice with new menu & sushi chef. The food tasted better than before (sushi rice is delicately warm in new vinegar seasoning, very fresh seafoods; you may be able to see difference in pictures). Setting is quiet with a simple elegance. Service is attentive, gracious & efficient. Latest experiences reminiscent of our trips to Japan.

What a great hidden gem in Koko Marina! The service was excellent and the food even better. The price is also very reasonable. The sushi is really good, the udon and soba noodles are delicious and the tamago is incredible. The desserts are also very very good.
We will certainly come back for the omakase when we have more time! We were told the omakase takes about 90 minutes.
The only small downside is that there are only 2 tables for 2 persons. The other seats are high seats where you can watch the chef prepare your food.

Hidden gem (the entrance is on the inside of the mall). If you don’t want to wait at their main restaurant in Waikiki, this is a great alternative. You can order their chirashi lunch sets at dinner for a great price and all the fish is super fresh. It’s also BYOB!

Koko I-naba is hands down one of the best traditional Japanese Sushi and Soba Spot I’ve ever been to on the island ! The sushi is insanely fresh and absolutely delicious — every piece melts in your mouth. You can tell the chef is a true masters of their craft — good cuts, perfectly seasoned rice, with just pure, elevated flavor.
But what completely blew me away was the soba — unlike anything I’ve had before. Made fresh, it’s perfectly chewy with a rich, earthy depth that pairs beautifully with the delicate broth. It’s rare to find soba this authentic and soul-warming.
From start to finish, the experience is simple, and absolutely spot-on. If you’re looking for traditional Japanese cuisine done right, come to Koko I-naba in KOKO MARINA, my new favorite place to eat sushi.
