Amazing food and experience with Kojima. The price is for a special occasion, but for a multi-course set Omakase, it is well priced, especially in LA. The food is delicious, diverse, and authentic while remaining unpretentious. It is elevated but down to earth, and you’ll be delighted by the variety and flavorfulness! Likewise, the staff is friendly and accommodating as well as very professional – I can’t wait to have an excuse to go back!

The course is set and reservations are required. There are two servings each evening so make sure to check the times!

This is a one of a kind experience. Very intimate and you can tell the chef is very passionate about his craft. He recently moved from Japan to share his art in the heart of Japan town LA! This place is a must try. It’s a quaint restaurant and I recommend reservations on the weekends. Seating is limited and the experience will transport you to all parts of Japan! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented!!

Chef Hayato-san crafts truly authentic Japanese dishes, each mastered during his time in Japan. Both he and Kevin-san our server were absolutely delightful. I especially loved the chicken heart, snapper, and wagyu dishes and their sake selection is excellent. If you don’t know what to drink, just ask Kevin-san.

Wow, wow, wow. I dined here this evening and can confidently say it’s one of the best restaurants in LA — and easily one of the top omakase experiences I’ve had, in both the U.S. and Japan.

The menu is beautifully balanced and genuinely delicious from start to finish. The dishes are simple without being simplistic — nothing feels overly complicated or contrived. The pacing is spot on, and the variety of flavors and textures keeps every course interesting.

Service is warm, gracious, and knowledgeable without a hint of stuffiness.

Go now, before they earn a Michelin star and reservations become impossible. Truly a wonderful dining experience from start to finish.

There is no service. Walk in and place order on a screen.

Average sandwich spot, average experience for me.

I had the pork katsu sandwich. The pork is good, bread is soft but nothing special. There is a lot of crust on the edge without pork. The fries were over fried and not severed with any sauce.

No real ambiance, it’s a small food hall. A couple of bar type seatings along the walls.

So so so good. Mixture of izakaya food but more upscale like kaiseki (not all fried). The staff are amazing. This place will blow up soon so go now while you can!

I could use many words to compliment a restaurant, but “clean and crisp” is one of the highest praises I can give. This place truly deserves it—not because it piles on premium ingredients, but because the chef carefully chooses seasonal produce to create a balanced harmony of flavor and intensity.

By the end of the meal, you feel full in the best possible way—comfortably satisfied, not weighed down. It’s nothing like being served a whole pound of Wagyu, where that initial indulgent pleasure quickly gives way to an overwhelming greasiness.

One of the best experiences in my life! I am a big foodie and have been to multiple amazing restaurants, including omakase and Michelin stars ones, and this one may be my favorite ever. Incredible food and super friendly team, I fell in love with this place and can’t wait to come again.
