KoJa (aka Korean-Japanese) is a special gourmet sandwich infused with a unique combination of Korean & Japanese flavors. To step it up a notch, KoJa Kitchen substitutes the traditional wheat buns with freshly made crispy garlic rice buns.
We take what is best of both cuisines and reinvent them in a way that is fun and delicious to eat for our KoJa Kitchen fans.

I woke up yesterday and never heard of musubi with spam and bacon. I didn’t realize how empty my life was until I tasted that. Somewhat tongue in cheek yes. But delicious. And the garlic, soy chicken wings were also top notch. Everyone was nice and friendly. Beautiful lunch on the K St. mall. Highly recommended.

This was my first time here and the staff were very helpful with suggestions. The original Koja and waffle fries was my pick per her suggestion and I wasn’t disappointed. Great flavor, a little messy, and very filling. Have a few slop mops (napkins) ready for the mess of flavors about to dribble forth. I’ll definitely be going here again.

I loved the location of this place and they offer outdoor and indoor seating. The staff member who assisted me was so sweet! She was kind, personable, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made suggestions, gave personal opinions, and took their time to make me feel comfortable. The menu is pretty big and there’s a ton of different options. I opted for the beef dish, wings, and a mint lemonade. The food is pretty good the only down side for me was the size of the wings they were huge. The beef was marinated well but still had a strong sweetness to it. Every bowl comes with kimchi, rice, and a side salad which is a great portion of food. The lemonade was nice and refreshing just a little on the sweet side. Another aspect I loved was the detail they put into packing my to go order, they rubber band each item to ensure nothing spilled I loved that. Overall I had a pleasant experience and I’m willing to go back to enjoy their late night outdoor bar on the weekend.

Love this place, definitely a curve ball of tastes on the menu, it’s Same same. But Different! Koja Kitchen is a flavor explosion! Their Korean-Japanese fusion is next-level delicious—think crispy rice buns, juicy short rib, and bold, savory sauces that hit all the right notes. The Kamikaze Fries are a must-try, and the vibe is casual yet cool. Perfect for a quick, satisfying meal that feels like a culinary adventure. Koja Kitchen, you’ve got a fan for life!

The food is amazing, although expensive for no frills fast food. The original Koja with rice patty bun is delicious.

The food was absolutely amazing, best loaded fries I’ve ever had! And the Koja sandwich was spectacular, some of the best flavor I’ve had in a while. Plus our server was so sweet! 10/10 would recommend!

Food was great. The service was fantastic. First time there and the guy working the counter was helpful and shared ideas as well as combinations of food and drinks. Definitely a dangerous place since I live one block away.

I’m giving it 3 stars because their downstairs bar was superb, and the person making our food, and actually brought it downstairs to us , she was great too. Unfortunately the food wasn’t as great as we expected, maybe it’s just my preference but I prefer a different type of beef, but I’ve eaten many types of beef so I guess I have stuff to go off of. All in all. Would return for the vibes but wouldn’t go all out on the food.

Amazing food at an affordable price! Blew me away, the bbq chicken bowl as incredible and so was the braised pork Koja bowl. The kamikaze fries were decent, but nothing stood out too much. Trippy bathrooms as well, you’ll understand when you go downstairs

The Real Deal is the Koja Kitchen Sacramento which delivers on good service. First off, I seen the 4.2 rating expecting just that. The service at the counter was quick and person had a great serving attitude. Next, the atmosphere was ok, pictures online looked better, it was not very clean at all, the ice tea tasted like it been in there awhile so I threw that out. The door was wide open when it’s 50 degrees out it was cold, much to be improved to gain a good atmosphere where customers feel cozy and comfortable.
Now onto the food (The Main Event), the reviews were excited about the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl which has a decent flavor but nothing special, the sauce was oily which was not normal Teriyaki consistency that I am used to (6.5/10). My friend tried a specialty drink was not happy with it. I won’t be back to this one unfortunately. Cheers!
