Food here is really underrated and good. Love their Koja bowls and the rice sandwhich and prices are pretty reasonable. However customer service is kinda effy, but not too much to expect as it’s in the mall food court ‍♂️

I purchased several items here and visited with my children. When I politely asked for extra disposable boxes, the woman at the counter raised her voice at me for no reason. We ended up having to pack up quickly and leave. If you’re looking to ruin your shopping experience, this is the place to stop.

Good food. Their bowl is great for the price. The quantity is also good. The bowl has rice, arugula, and protein with some kimchi. Filling but food is okay.

Had the crispy chicken sandwich and loved it!!! Also had the koja fries and was a great addition to my sandwich. Love how the fries are waffle style .

I read a few reviews and didn’t try the popular items. Crispy chicken sandwich was the hot, even was recommended. It did NOT disappoint.
I will come back to try some other items on the menu. Love the spice.

The cashier was friendly but seemed tired.
Got my food relatively fast, a little over 10 mins but worth the wait. Will be coming back.

I’ve seen they serve alcoholic beverages… I think I’ll have to take another look.

My pictures were a little late as I could not wait to bite into the food. Love trying new things!!!

Energy level was moderate

Ordered ahead online and it’s a unique spot. Asian fusion flavors with a few specialty items you won’t find else where for the most part.

The beef was great and sauces were good too but those do the heavy lifting on the food. The rest was ok.

Came here for lunch on a busy Saturday evening because most other restaurants were closed and Koja had one of the most interesting menus!

I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad (Ahi tuna, wasabi mayo, seasoned edamame, seaweed salad, imitation crab salad, green onions, masago, wonton crisps, soy ginger dressing) and fell in love! It was such a perfect balance of sweet and spicy and crunchy and just everything! The tuna was really fresh and everything went amazing together. I didn’t have the soy ginger dressing because there was enough flavoring in the salad itself.
I had also asked for extra greens on the side and they gave me so so much! Most restaurants only add a tiny amount but Koja did a very good job. I was very happy with this meal.

I also got the Teriyaki Zen Koja (Soy and portobello mushroom patty, sesame vinaigrette lettuce, pineapple, teriyaki sauce, sesame seeds), and oh my gosh! Another beautiful one! The crispy rice buns were really so crispy and the overall texture and flavor and everything was just perfect That pineapple added such a good touch and this soy amount was just perfect and I just have no more words. Definitely definitely recommend this one!

My boyfriend got the Chicken Bowl(Korean BBQ chicken, spicy gochujang sauce, kimchi, green onions, masago, sesame seeds, lemon wedge, fried onions) and he really did like this one. The chicken was good and ingredients or went well together as well. He had half rice and half salad and was happy with the meal as well.
I tasted some of the chicken and it was quite good – cooked just right and flavored well as well.

He also had the Chicken Koja (Korean BBQ chicken, sesame vinaigrette lettuce, tomato, cilantro, spicy gochujang sauce, sesame seeds, lemon wedge). It looked quite massive and had the same chicken as the bowl. He liked it, but as far as flavor goes though, that Teriyaki Zen one was a lot better!
I couldn’t recommend it more!

We had high hopes for “The Original” koja and while interesting it was somewhat disappointing.

The short rib was ok at best and quite fibrous. I did enjoy the fried rice cakes as “buns”, that was fun.

Their Korean buffalo wings were also ok, not bad but nothing special. We expected them to be hot and they were quite mild.

The one thing I do absolutely recommend is their Strawberry Mango Mint Lemonade. It is very sweet and I’m sure has a ton of sugar, but it was absolutely delicious

So the reason why I visited this place is because on tv, it was on top 100 burger spots on yelp ( actually it’s KoJa Kitchen Berkeley that’s on top 10 spot ). So, we tried their best seller and it was alright. The meat was tasty, sweet and cooked nicely. The buns were actually fried crispy rice. It was very filling so I’ve only had half of the burger and felt full. Although it’s on the top 10 spot , it’s not really my favorite and for me, the meat is just too sweet for my taste as I’m not really into sweet stuffs. Maybe we will try the chicken sandwich next time. The drink is fine, not too sweet so it’s good for me. The fries is good, crispy and not too salty.

Chicken bowl was very tasty, with rice, kimchi, Korean style chicken thigh, salad and spring onion. You can have a fried egg on top. It was delicious but the amount of chicken in the bowl was small. I wish they are more generous with chicken portion too. The staff was friendly and patiently explained the dishes I asked about. It’s located in the dining area in Westfield valley mall.

Avoid chicken tender bento box. Not sure what oil was used, me and my wife both got bad throat right after having it.
Since we could not finish it anymore we asked for a take out bag and they mentioned that take out bag with handles are really expensive and they would charge a dollar for it.
