Really authentic and good food and I’ve had a lot of food as a level 7 Local Guide on Google maps.
They charge a 16% service fee no matter what.
Prices are a little high but the food is really really good so I’ll let it pass.

This used to be our favorite place on that strip. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food were very tasty at reasonable prices.

Our most recent visit, however, was disappointing to say the least. They continue to have good portions and presentations but the taste was off and not flavorful.

Carefully check your bill, they included service charge even if it’s just two people in our party.

Authentic Hong Kong style and taste Dim Sum. The beauty of their food lies in the details. Their dim sum flavors are balanced and subtle compared to a lot of I’m sum houses with strong flavors. This success when the skill of the chef is adequate so that the original flavors are put on the spotlight and the delicate skills of the chef in the elements can shine by itself, not the artificial flavors added.

There is a 16% service charge. We ordered Baked Beer Steak in Black Pepper Sauce over Rice with Cheese, Farm Raised Hainan Chicken with Soup, Kois Seofood Pan- fried Crispy Noodle, roasted duck, and some beverages. The place was quite busy even during off hours.

It’s been a long while since we last came to Koi Palace Express. They simplified their menu since the pandemic but they retained all the popular items. We are happy to report that the quality of their food is still top notch. Their price is a bit higher than average but the quality of food makes it worth it. The service is fast and friendly. If you want the best Hong Kong style Chinese food in the Tri-valley, you are in the right place. Highly recommended.

They just remodeled and it looks and feels very clean. Tables were well spaced apart and all the workers were wearing face masks correctly and gloves.

Ordered:
Hainan chicken with slow cooked chicken ginseng broth (you can def taste the ginseng)
Baked pork chop rice
Wonton with rice noodles
HK style milk tea (hot)

Flavors were just right. I liked that the pork chop were not fried and it had just the right amount of sauce. I really liked the broth that came with the Hainan chicken. The milk tea tasted authentic but a little sweet to me (but I’m also the one that orders 0 sweet at boba places) but the lady was very nice and added some tea to my drink to balance it out. Good portions and very attentive staff. We will def be back to try more items.

Been a while since i went to Koi Palace, their menu changed and become smaller. The staff gave me the paper menu, but it seems to be diffrent than the dine in menu.
I always get their rice combo, i think it’s good though it’s small portion. Great flavor i would give it 5stars.
The flat noodle is soso, but maybe bc i don’t like curry.. fried dough sticks was ok, good.

Saturday lunch time. Got a number at koi palace and the wait time is 1 hour… came downstairs and see this koi palace express. No wait. Awesome.

The menu is much smaller. And there are many things they don’t serve here. Service could be better… asked for milk tea for no ice, no response and they came with ice anyways……

Food is good. Got steamed chicken feet, Shanghai style juicy dumpling, pork dumpling in chili sauce, egg yolk lava bun. Everything was good , especially the egg yolk lava bun. It’s sooooooo juicy and fresh, scrumptious!

Food is ok but flavors are inconsistent. Some of my dishes has no flavor but others have too much flavors. The place looks and feels dirty, especially the tables. Customer service is cold and unfriendly. Will try again but hope they will work to improve their consistency and customer service skills.

Their pork katsu curry is my favorite. I have had so many katsu curry all over the place, and their katsu curry is absolutely the best. After eating their katsu curry, I could not enjoy katsu curry any more. No other katsu is this tender. It is so good it’s almost addicting. The outside is crunchy and the inside gives you just the right amount of tenderness – not mushy, not chewy, very juicy. It has good portion too. They give two pieces of katsu. I’ve got this dish 3 or 4 times and it’s consistently delicious. Not sure about the other dishes – I’ve tasted other dishes here but nothing hits like this katsu.

The curry is different from other places curry – I think it’s from one of those yellowish chinese curry powder? Personally I liked it but I can see why others may prefer Japanese curry more.

The katsu is actually so good that I am in Hawaii right now and I cannot stop thinking about it. This katsu is life changing. I need to pay the chef a visit next time and learn his recipe.
