Beef dish: beef was tender. Will order again.
Lobster noodle: noodle was $10 and lobster was $36/lb. There were more noodle than lobster. Need to request a 3lbs lobster next time.
Steamed fish was good and would be better if there was more soy sauce.
Love the fried crispy fried fish skin.
Overall a good dining experience.
The restaurant is on the Main Street in Cupertino. It is now easy to park as a big parking garage was built. But, this location of the restaurant was smaller than I thought it would be. Anyway, it was nice dining experience. We would go again for its Peking duck
Tony provided excellent service and warm hospitality, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. My favorites were the unagi sticky rice lotus wrap and the seafood dumplings–both were flavorful and memorable. The Peking duck is also a must-order and one of my favorites.
I have been going to Koi Palace in Daly City growing up and it always delivers! Overall, a fantastic spot for high-quality food and outstanding service. Highly recommend! I will be always coming back when I want elevated dim sum experience and also for Tony’s wonderful customer service!
– BBQ pork puff pastry: the pork filling could be more flavorful while the puff pastry itself less sweet.
– Spareribs: tasty
– fried tofu: tasty
– lobster noodles: tasty
– bean curd skin rolls: a little too salty
– swan durian puffs: very disappointing, lacking the pronounced durian taste that durian puffs are supposed to have.
Overall, I won’t miss the food. The place seems newly renovated though and is clean and cute.
All the food added up to $131. Note service fee is automatically added so don’t accidentally double tip.
I’ve visited multiple times for lunch, so I can’t speak to their dinner offerings, but here’s what I can tell you: If you’re planning to come, try to arrive before 12 PM to beat the lunch rush, as it can get busy.
Their menu features unique items you won’t typically find at other places. Some of my favorites include:
* Ikura dumplings
* Scallop sui mai
* Lobster shrimp dumplings
* Pineapple buns with butter
They do have a small selection of dim sum items, but the real highlight here is their extensive menu, offering something for everyone.
Bonus points for convenience! There’s a large public parking lot right across from the restaurant, so parking is a breeze.
If you’re looking for a modern Chinese dining experience with creative and unique dishes, Koi Palace Contempo is definitely worth a visit.
