The staff is helpful and well intentioned, but:
1. The sushi rolls are small, mostly rice and flooded with sauce.
2. I tasted the rice with a hint of fish and other ingredients.
3. The [price] vs. [taste, quantity] equation, sorry: INequation, is not in the patron’s favor.
4. The place was clean, and well kept… recognized in Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, cannot give 5 because of Food, same with Service.
5. The Eel was impossible to detect and enjoy under the sauce flood of biblical proportions.
6. Food ⭐️⭐️, instead of ⭐️, to recognize that I did not get sick.
7. Deleted from “Return!’ list.

When we walked in there was no one to greet us and we waited for about 10 mins before being addressed. The lady asked if we were doing the hibachi or dining room. We stated hibachi and she said ok and left. Then next lady arrived 5 mins later and asked us if our names were take and we said no as well as the other three groups that were waiting. The lady said oh well its just a number count at this point and moved on. About another 10 mins later we were seated. Our drink order was taken about 6 mins later and we placed our order then to ensure we got our appetizers before the show. The broth was a watery chicken broth with rotini noodles in the bottom. Basic salad with ranch or ginger. We got the chicken and steak as well as shrimp. Meats were seasoned but you could tell the filet was a cheaper cut. Rice and eggs were over cooked and the yum yum tasted like vinegar. The show was ok but not worth the price. Also having water squirted at me twice was a but frustrating. Over all not my first choice in hibachi.

Just as good as any Nashville hibachi! We have eaten there twice and got Shin as our cook both times, he is 100% on everything he cooks. He makes some good spicy rice! Portions are large. Great sushi, beautiful drinks, friendly server. This is going to be a new regular spot for us.

First time diners to Koi. We were not disappointed. From the service to food we were very happy with our experience. We chose the dinning room over the hibachi tables for an intimate meal. We ordered appetizers, main meals and received a complimentary dessert as a birthday surprise. The sushi was freshly prepared, the menu offering a wide variety of dishes. The shrimp and steak hibachi dish was full of flavor and deliciously tender. It was an all round wonderful meal and will definitely return. The only negative is the drinks are a little watered down.

The service was amazing & the food was yummy. My only complaint was the amount of meat for the price. On the lunch menu, steak and shrimp was $16.99. Which is a lot for lunch but I figured it would be enough to take home for dinner.
The yum yum sauce is better at Osaka in Portland, but it was good enough here. The price is $2 cheaper in Portland also. However, here you can get double rice instead of veggies if you want. They seat you fast and the service is amazing.
Edited to add: There was one more small piece of steak on each plate before I took the photo. We were hungry and almost forgot to take a pic. Just wanted to be fair and accurate.

Such an amazing experience. We drove in from Nashville just to eat at this hibachi place. Some of the best fried rice I’ve ever had. They had so many sauces to choose from and my chicken and steak were cooked perfectly. The staff was so professional and our hibachi cook made our experience so entertaining. Will definitely be back!

Ordered 2 sushi rolls an chirasi don. My daughter did not care to much for her roll. I had the rainbow roll and some of the fish was too fishy and did not taste well. The chirasi Don was awful. The tuna had a bad fish taste an smell and was brown. The white tuna is supposed to have a sweet taste but was sour. The octopus and the rice was the best part of the dish.

This is a Japanese grill that offers a personalized dining experience. Diners who wish are seated around an open grill and are entertained as the chef juggles his utensils and prepares the guests food orders. The items are cooked one at a time and served one at a time to all guests seated around his grill. The food is prepared according to the personal taste and request of each guest. The food is delicious and the staff are professional and friendly. Advanced reservations are recommended.

This place is a joke, we ordered several rolls of sushi and that all mostly came out with hardly any meat in them. the American dream roll i ordered had none and the Philly rolls where skimped on heavily when I asked the waiter he laughed and said that’s just how we make them. 0/10 will not return if you want sushi head to Hendersonville because there isn’t any decent in Gallatin
