We stopped here to grab a late lunch a 2 weeks ago and they just closed the kitchen but as we were buying a drink, the chef overheard us and offered to make us a roast beef sandwich. It was super nice of him and the food was delicious!! Slow roasted shredded beef loaded with sprouts and greens on a fab bun. Fast forward, we drove 45 min back today just to eat one again. The market is awesome with lots of fresh veggies and gifts. Love & Aloha.

I stumbled upon this market after going skydiving, and it turned out to be the perfect post-adventure find. The fresh fruit smoothies were packed with flavor, refreshing and exactly what I needed — but what truly stood out to me was the Kombucha. It was ridiculously good, easily one of the best I’ve ever had, and left a lasting impression.

I also tried the Taro Burger, which was different in the best way — unique, flavorful, and something I’d definitely have again.

What really adds to the charm of this market is the variety of locally grown products lining the shelves. It’s a great way to sample ingredients and goods grown right on the island by local farmers.

Lovely local small business that seems relatively untouched by tourism. Happy that we got to experience this place as a tourist myself! Hot lunch was good as well as their cold take-away sandwiches. Seating outside only.

Ive both shopped and supplies Kohala Grown i can say that Leo and Geniveive? Are serious about giving the best product possible as well and insuring the produce they purchase from us local farmers meet serious conditions so as to provide the customers with the freshest and healthiest of local produce available. They are picky purchasers and I am super grateful to be fortunate enough to have their sealnof approval for Inspired Land Farms! And thanks to all the local folks that assist to make Kohala Grown an expanding success here in North Kohala!!!
Beyond quality food you will find quality service and excellent customer care!

DAY 2 of Vacation – After ziplining, we wanted to walk around the town. We stumbled upon this local shop and decided to grab some snacks before driving back to Kona.

Ambiance/Environment: I love the open space. There were so many products, groceries, and food. There is also limited outdoor seating.

Service: I didn’t catch her name, but the owner was so nice and welcoming. She gave us good recommendations from the drink menu.

Everything we got:

1) Maui Vera – I bought this reef friendly sunscreen. I was told regular sunscreen will not help, so I waited until we came out here to buy sunscreen. This sunscreen helped protect me from crazy sunburns. It is very thick and dries up quickly. It does leave you looking whiter than usual lol.

2) Smoothies – My ILs ordered the Hawaiian Superman, Strawberry Bliss, Chocolate Monkey, and Super Soursop. All these smoothies were recommended by the owner based on their preferences. They absolutely enjoyed their drinks. Perfect refresher after 2 hours of ziplining.

3) Tropical Dreams Ice Cream – My BIL got an 8 oz ube ice cream. We all took a spoonful to try it. Wow .. the ube flavor was unbelievable. Sooo good!

Fresh ingredients x friendly service! I had ordered a roast beef platter for lunch but it’s so good so I had to come back to get early dinner too. They also have a lot of vegetarian options (black been and taro patty). If you are in the area, stop by for lunch or smoothie! Highly recommend!

The roast beef sandwich was over the top good. Chips & pickle were perfect accompaniments. Sat outside on the porch. Not fancy but delicious. Staff was fast & efficient.

Excellent food, delicious and fresh. The portions were generous and reasonable priced. Top quality fresh produce. We were very happy to find this place, we got pretty tired of eating overpriced fried bar food at all the tourist traps. This place is a hidden gem. They treat their clients with care.
