We stopped by this spot after a beach day. The special looked good but we were too early so I got the western bacon burger. The wife got the fish burger and kiddo got a regular burger. The fries were pretty good. My only negative to mention is the automatic tip added to the bill. The rest was good. Staff were amazing and friendly. Our meals hit the spot. It had a hole in the wall vibe but good use of the decor they chose. The prices were higher than we were used to but not a deal breaker. I’d say it’s worth the stop. They also have a neat extra, Comic books and trading cards.

Quirky spot with exceptional food!

At first, we didn’t know what to make of this place. First impression looks like a curiosity shop, but keep going and there is a diner with a harbor view in the back. Tammy welcomed us in and provided great service.

We ordered the fish tacos and were surprised and delighted from the first bite. Fresh made taco shells, fresh fish -seemingly right off the boat – homemade picante sauce. Every bite was bursting with homemade deliciousness!!

This place also offers refreshing Dole Whip floats. My husband had a coconut option and I tried the passion fruit. So good!

A must stop for any west side Big Island visit.

Little stuffy inside; small restaurant. Food was goods. They add an automatic 15% service charge when you have to wait in line to order your food and then a runner brings it out & you have to fill your own drink! As a business wonder – 15% for what?? What exactly did yo I do for the 15% you charged! Nothing you should be paying your staff appreciate wage and adjusting your prices accordingly

Brioche buns are very yummy! 15% service charge on all orders, so price tag stacks pretty fast. Onion rings were that nice, thick breading (the best kind). Overall, great quality and workers treated us like family.

Dole whip was scrumptious, but a little smaller than I was hoping for….

Doesn’t seat very many people, but had a great ocean diner vibe

Yummy ahi and chips in a homemade beer batter with homemade Mac salad. Overall it was a nice quick stop and great for a bite to eat. Friendly staff with quirky decor.

I think this is my new favorite restaurant on the big island!

It’s a small place. You can stand in line to order on the tablet and there are a few tables inside to eat at. The food is ready very quickly.

My husband and I shared:
– Pineapple Passion Cooler
– Tiki Burger with G’rilla Onions
– Fresh Ahi & Avo Tacos
– Kohala Coleslaw Tsunami Style

Everything was fantastic. The fish tacos were probably my favorite, but I also love smash burgers and they make a great one. I loved the POG dole whip float. Definitely get the coleslaw tsunami style if you get it.

The only downside is the portion sizes are pretty small considering you don’t get a side and the prices aren’t cheap.

I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu on my next trip!

Beef tacos were deeeelicious!! Super crunchy shells, lots of cheese and lettuce, with some sort of creamy sauce, and a huge cup of salsa!! And the girl who took my order was soooo kind and sweet!! Definitely recommend!

Great place to stop for a treat or meal. Service was good as she was attentive to our needs and friendly. Food is good and I enjoy my mom’s fish tacos. The creamy ranch was good with onion rings as it seemed to use sour cream so some good stuff.

The BEST tacos we had in Hawaii! We had the daily special tacos–panko-crusted fish–and they were sooo good! Fish was cooked perfectly, and the tortillas were cheesy and crispy, which just made the texture amazing. The salsa was fantastic too. We also split a cheeseburger, and it was great–super satisfying all around. And it came out in 5min!

Friendly people and excellent food. The black bean tacos are really good and filling. Prices are reasonable. My friend has a small appetite and she ordered the child-size burger and it was perfect for her. Make sure to get a Dole Whip to go after your meal – wonderful!
Tip: There is a separate line for a ordering terminal for to-go orders. So you don’t have to wait in line with the folks waiting for a table. Speaking of, they take your order before they seat you, so be ready. It’s a small place (and there doesn’t seem to be anywhere else to sit and eat), so if they are really busy you may want to order to go.
