My husband and I came here for dinner as we had talked about going for over a year. This place had been talked up by my husband and many locals for a long time. We booked a reservation for a Sunday about 2 weeks in advance as this was valentines weekend. We had to reschedule our reservation to an hour later, they accommodated.. until 20 minutes after our original reservation, a woman called us asking “are you coming to your reservation because you are 20 minutes late” – I informed her of our adjustment!
Environment:
They were busy! Very busy.. as the staff were running around – a line out the door watched and stared. Every server looked like they were called in last minute, the place was filled with large tables of high schoolers, and middle schoolers or just moms with their kids. (Kogi was recommended as a low lit, high scale, romantic Korean restaurant. Or so it used to be)
Food/service:
Our server, Abby was delightful. Very to the point. Not much conversation which I enjoy as it was just the two of us, on a date. We wanted apps. So we ordered them “Umma’s Rangoons” $9 & “Kogi Fries”$13.
The filling to the rangoons was delicious, curry flare was new! The wrapping seemed to be a thicker wonton wrapper that was fried in old oil.. dark brown and stale tasting. “Kogi fries” were confusing and plain, frozen steak cut fries, bagged queso, shaved steak, raw onion, and an incredibly over done fried egg.
We ordered two of the “chicken katsu udon” once arrived it was ramen.. not udon. The chicken katsu was so dry, I couldn’t bare to eat the whole bowl. The flavor was of “Top Ramen” – ALMOST IDENTICAL. We didn’t make a big deal out of the mistake from the server (or kitchen) we just requested an order of Kani salad for my entree instead. In which Abby accommodated.
I have worked in the industry for many years as many positions, but the longest as a Chef. As I have been a head chef, I know how easy it is to take the more simple route. Quality over quantity is what we say – shrink your menu and get back to the top!
(These two stars are for the sushi we didn’t try and for Abby)

Food was good! The service felt disorganized. We waited almost as long to order or pay as we did to eat, but everyone was friendly and trying their best. If they tighten up the service flow, I think I would’ve had a much better experience. It just took away from the meal a bit. Would recommend trying.

Best sushi in Plymouth!! I had the poke bowl all the flavors are 5 stars! The magical symbiosis of flavors paired with fresh fatty tuna is amazing. My kids also love the ramen and fried pork dumplings. Can’t wait to go back not just for the food but the environment and spectacular service.

As a person who was tried actual authentic Korean food I can assure you this is far from it. Horrible taste. Their house sauce wings are horrible. I placed a take out order and opened the box of wings and saw a pool of soy sauce at the bottom and dry wings. I don’t know how they found a way to do this. And please don’t get me started on the “bulgogi” it’s the most dry thing I’ve ever ate. These people are not Korean this is a facade. The bulgogi is dry and no sauce at all this was a horrible experience never again. Better off getting Trader Joe’s bulgogi …

We shared The Mayflower which was more than plenty for 2. I found service to be a little hectic under the busy Sunday evening crowd.
The atmosphere was trying to be peaceful “japandi” but the seating arrangements allowed for almost no privacy or peace from the many tables with small children. The environment was simply too chaotic to relax in.

Valentines Day 2026! First off, it’s Valentines Day…make a RESERVATION!!! There were a few scowls in our direction, while we just walked right in…but WE HAD A RESERVATION. The young girl up front who sat us was very sweet and polite with a great smile.
Not sure about the soft benches. My husband had to switch sides with me because it was too low. Otherwise everything else was wonderful. Tina made us feel very welcome for our first time and her food recommendations were on point! The Dolsot with beef made my man VERY happy! The prices are reasonable enough to be a regular stop in our restaurant rotation. We will be back!

Kogi Bar & Grill was delicious! I had the dolsot bibimbap, and the crispy rice at the bottom was a real treat. The hot sauce that came with it was spicy, but in small amounts, it really kicked up the flavor. The steamed shumai appetizer was delicious, and I paired it all with a mango milk tea. Highly recommend!

A fantastic spot for sushi! We went for a late lunch on a weekday and it was pretty quiet, but I imagine it gets crazy busy on weekends. We had the red dragon roll, shaggy dog roll, and spider roll and all were amazing. Their bubble tea is also great with so many tapioca options!

Definitely recommend visiting this restaurant. Food was delicious from the appetizer to the main course. My son really enjoyed the vegetable steamed dumplings and egg rolls. The service was great, too. Our waitress was very attentive, and the food always came out nice and hot from the kitchen. The atmosphere is very cozy and modern and very clean. They have a small bar in the front of the restaurant as well. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some great Asian food. We all left with our belly’s full and very pleased with everything.

I really wanted to love it, I think maybe they need some time to adjust to the new space. We got dumplings, crab rangoon, chicken katsu, and beef ramen. All of it was very overcooked which was disappointing. The beef in the ramen was gritty, like it was cooked prior to having broth poured over it. The katsu was very dry, and the dumplings were dried out in the middle after being fried. You can tell the flavors would have been really great had they been cooked correctly. I think it was our waiter’s first night, he was sweet but seemed a little nervous. He dropped our check before we could ask for tea at the end of the meal. I would go back but I think it needs some time
