Great Belgium waffles and very good prices! The breakfast special of 2 eggs, etc., was $6.79! All of the food that we saw being served looked good and nice portions. We also had a very friendly, efficient waiter. Would definitely recommend this to others. We noted that many of the patrons were repeat customers.

Visiting from NC and got a nice breakfast- brunch here. They service breakfast items all day plus a nice menu variety. I like that 1/2 serving sizes are offered and those too are really right much to eat. I think that’s some of the best corn beef hash I have ever had and the blueberry pancake was fantabulous!

I went in around 1 pm for lunch today, I ordered the liver and onions.
I do not recommend this plate, I got 2 small pieces of liver, alot of the onions were raw, not fully cooked.
Broccoli and cheese was cold, toast was toasted on one side only.
Never had this experience here, waitress was having a 10+ minute conversation with one of her tables.

Before leaving Harlingen, I stopped by Koffee Klatch for breakfast. The place was full, but I found a tiny table in the corner. A waitress took my drink order and brought me a menu. This little restaurant offers a nice selection of breakfast fare. I was so tempted to try the sweet potato waffle but opted for one of my faves instead. I ordered O.J. for my drink and for my meal, I ordered biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and two sausage patties. My meal arrived in a little while served on a platter. I was surprised as to the size of a half biscuit. I think ginormous best describes it. The biscuit was really good, supper fluffy, right up there with the best of them. Too bad the rest of the meal didn’t match up. The sausage was not cooked in the gravy. Instead, they, I guess, toss it on the biscuit and then cover it with lukewarm gravy. There were pieces of sausage on the plate that had no gravy on them.The sausage patties were overcooked, and one of them was so dry that I couldn’t finish it. Lastly, the eggs were O.K. a little overcooked. Would I go back ? Only because the menu has merit!!

This place is always full. Finally made it in this morning. Keep in mind, this place has been around for YEARS. It’s a self seating establishment and interior appears to be original build. Very rustic/antiquated atmosphere. Service was provided pretty quickly, within a few minutes of sitting down. Great variety of bfast items to choose from. I started with a coffee and the wife had sweet tea. Thumps up on both. Wife stuck with what she knows. Papa a la Mexicana with bacon taco. I had the two eggs with Chicken fried steak. My order came with toast and a side of hash browns. Food came out very fast. Good job in the kitchen. Food was hot fresh and tasty. It was obvious the Chicken fried steak was made fresh. Wasn’t bad. I ran into only one nerve. Other than that, it was tender and had great flavor. Wife really liked her taco and my Chicken Fried Steak…lol….. All in all fantastic visit. Prices were very reasonable. Just a heads up note, small musky smell when you walk in..it eventually disappears. Once you get past that , you’ll have a great meal.

Decent place for your morning breakfast. They do not have natural juices. The place is old ,also there were hairs on the food. When I pointed out to the manager he stated that since some of the food was eaten that nothing could be done but after a while the manager changed his mind and decided not to charge for the food. Overall it could be better,by the way the service was pretty good.

Absolutely LOVE coming here for Sunday breakfast or brunch. The restaurant has that old school diner feel and the service to match it too! Always fast and friendly. Anytime we have ever had issues with a wrong order (which is rare) manager Michelle is always there to help. She is the best!!
10/10 recommend. Business has picked up in the last couple months so be prepared to wait if you get here in the later morning hours.
Recommend the Sierra omolette from the breakfast menu. if you are here for lunch the burgers are delicious!
