Celebrated my anniversary at Koberl At Blue and was beyond impressed! The bartender Jeremy made fantastic cocktails – we order the spicy marg and honey grapefruit 10/10 recommend! Our server’s name was Lisa and was so attentive and sweet! Lisa made our night so special. I can’t wait to come back! This place is such a gem in SLO!

Excellent food and service. Always a treat to dine at Koberl At Blue for any special occasion. The specials are delicious, as are the menu items. The wine menu has some interesting and surprisingly good choices.
Just ask the server if there are any questions. They are great. Edit: Ryan is super! Vaughn is excellent!
Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are busier, so reservations are recommended for larger parties to set up.
It’s not inexpensive, but well worth the dining experience with the spouse/SO, family, and good friends.
Parking downtown can be challenging, a big suggestion is to take a picture of the license plate before going to use the pay kiosk or if not already saved in the app.

We dined at Koberl at Blue on a Saturday evening for my father’s birthday. The food was absolutely delicious, as usual, however… the service was less than to be desired and very disappointing. 🙁 We were seated immediately (we made sure to have a reservation) although wait time for our drinks and appetizers (which all came separately, spaced apart almost 20 minutes EACH) was a real bummer. After waiting 90 minutes for our food, all of our meals came out separately so we all watched one person eat so his food wouldn’t get cold. The staff was not apologetic whatsoever, nor did they provide us any explanation. We probably won’t be back, which makes me sad.

We sat at the bar, the girl bar back was friendly. The food was ok. Calamari was very bland and the scallops were OK. The beef carpaccio was really good I don’t like capers so next time I’ll ask to not have them added. The tuna tartare was very good as well.

Koberl at Blue is one of my go-to spots for special occasions. The food is beautifully plated and every dish has layers of flavor you can tell the chef cares. The scallops with artichoke duxelle were amazing, and the wine selection is really well curated.

My hubby & I have always loved Koberl & were looking forward to celebrating our anniversary here post pandemic. We were not disappointed. The same great food & service as always. We started with fried calamari & snow crab chinois. Our main course was Sautéed Duck Breast & duck confit, Sea Bass with black beans, & rice with chorizo & fresh peas (yum!). For dessert we shared the vanilla Crème brûlée with fresh berries. Everything from start to finish was delicious and our server Eric was the best!

I love going to Blue. Patricia is a wonderful host! I always get the key lime martini hold the gram cracker rim. It’s my favorite! You can request the sugar rim instead… yum! It’s a great place to meet up with friends for a couple cocktails and some food. We also make this our normal stop before going to a show at SLO Rep. It’s a little pricy, but seems worth it to treat yourself.

The filet mignon was delicious.
& My hubby had one of the specials, the quail. It was the first time he had it, and really enjoyed how it was seasoned.
Loved the low light atmosphere, very romantic for our anniversary dinner.

Best service. Best food. Best atmosphere. Best in SLO period. I have no connection to this place outside of coming here a handful of times. Tonight I got the herb roasted halibut served over a large and delicious wild mushroom ravioli, sautéed spinach, and the most incredible basil vermouth sauce. Topped with melted tomatoes. The service in the bar from Christian and Jeremy is best in town. This is the best dinner I’ve had in the tri counties. Don’t miss this spot. All time.
