Awesome vegan and vegetarian choices and lots to choose from. Didn’t have a wait on a Saturday night, and the staff are super friendly. Definitely will be returning!

Tucked conveniently right off the freeway and just steps from the waterfront, this casual yet stylish spot is a great find for both locals and travelers. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, with a relaxed vibe perfect for everything from casual dinners to game nights. A couple of TVs play sports without overpowering the ambiance, striking a nice balance between entertainment and conversation.
The full bar is a standout feature, offering a wide selection of cocktails, craft beers, and sake to pair with your meal. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh sushi, a hearty rice bowl, or steaming noodles, the menu caters to a wide range of cravings with both Japanese classics and creative twists.
With friendly service, a scenic location, and a laid-back atmosphere, this spot checks all the boxes for a solid dining experience—especially if you’re looking to unwind with good food and drinks after a long day. Would definitely return.

We hoped for decent sushi in hood river, but this was not it. Menu was promising, rolls looked beautiful. Then we tasted. Old fish, spicy tuna with undetectable tuna all filler, drowned in meh sauces, no heat where promised. Way over priced for quality.
Unlike other reviewers we had good quick service but we were there at 5pm on Sunday. River view is nice.

SEVERELY understaffed and the staff they do have are extremely rude. I would be stressed too in that environment but I would never treat people the way they do. You get ignored at the door and the wait time for even takeout is very long. As I waited for my order I watched one couple wait for a table and not get helped so they left, another family came in for a table, got sat and immediately left because of their dirty table (the husband audibly said that table was gross as they were leaving) and I assume for the service they received…Or most likely didn’t receive. The woman with purple in her hair, apparently the owner, set down multiple to go orders and said, “if it’s yours take it”. That is no way to talk to people, especially as a worker and if I wasn’t already there to pick up my own order someone might have taken mine. That woman needs an attitude adjustment or a new job, maybe both. Food was okay, NOT worth the wait.

I have eaten here many times over the last few weeks. I’ve also tried some of the other sushi places in the area. Kobe has the best sushi. The rocky shrimp is likely my favorite menu item. Service can be slow during rush hour but the food is worth taking your time and enjoying it. If you’re in a hurry read the menu before you arrive to get your order in ASAP.

First, plesde take this review with a grain of salt because I think the reason behind this was that the restaurant was likely understaffed.
The wait was normal as expected. I went during a busy time and there were 4 people ahead of us but we got seated within a reasonable time. No complain there!
After we were seated, it took a really long time for someone to take our order. It took even longer for our food to come out. The food was good. We ordered the miso soup, dragon roll, maki B, and rice. My dragon roll came out with a hair on it. 🙁 Honestly not a super big deal to me because it just happens sometimes. I did not mention it to any workers. Our food came out really slow and they did not bring our rice. The rice was removed from the bill.
I suspect they were just short staffed. I only seen 2 waiters and 3 cooks, and 1 extra guy doing a mix of things. We were hardly ever checked on so all of this makes me think short on staff. Im sure others have a great experience but maybe we just went on a bad day!

I recently visited this location in Hood River and immediately left after the server was EXTREMELY RUDE to us. We don’t typically order sushi so we asked the hostess about raw food. She wasn’t fully knowledgeable about the menu so she asked the server. I don’t know her name but she was heavy-set woman wearing glasses. First she barged her way in between us and the hostess to greet other guest and didn’t have the decency to say “excuse me.” She acted as if she was too busy to answer questions and the restaurant only had one table of two guests. They were not so busy for her to act like that towards us. I will never spend my money with RUDE and TERRIBLE customer service. Learn how to be professional at your place of work and treat customers with respect. If you can’t do that then you need to change jobs.

It’s a nice and clear restaurant near the Hood river. We took a lunch stop on our way to Mt Hood. They have good indoor seating with nice view. The menu is elaborate. Service was good. Food was nice too. Loved their sushi rolls and ramen. The quantity it good. We shared between 4 people.

It was really good! Quick service on a Weds night and the rolls were beautiful.
I got the sushi deluxe. It was excellent. The sashimi cuts were so buttery and fatty. It was like chutoro.
I also had an order of the bluefin nigiri. It was a bit lean, but still good.
My husband liked his rainbow roll and plain salmon rolls too.
The sushi rice was nicely seasoned, and the rice grains were perfect. Not too sticky.
