Came to the steakhouse to try out the seafood this time haha. Excellent service as always. Impressed by the miso cod (8/10 rating): tender fish balanced with miso sauce, the black rice also felt healthy and light for digestion. Lobster pasta on the other hand is VERY rich and heavy, a bit over cooked on the lobster meat (6/10).

From the time we entered Kobe until the time we left, the staff simply couldn’t do enough to make our evening extra special. The atmosphere and decor all add to the incredible food. The ingredients used by their very talented chefs are clearly of the very highest quality and the table side preparation of our steak tartare and Chateaubriand added to the wonderful experience. Me and my parents were in cambridge for a celebratory dinner, Kobe was recommended to us and for all the right reasons!!! The food was incredible, with the chefs paying careful attention to detail, from the warm fresh sourdough, to the buttery Kobe steaks. We shared the Kobe Speciality platter between 2 people, although on the pricier side (£405) it was well worth it! The platter came with 200g of A5 kobe wagyu fillet, rump, and sirloin, as well as 3 sides included and 3 sauces. When ordering we couldn’t decide on sauces and the waiter included all 5 sauces with our meal, boosting our tasting experience. We also had a chicken supreme, which was succulent and had the perfect ratio of chicken to sauce, this was on a bed of creamy mash, which made your mouth water. during our starters, one of the hosts came over with pallet cleanser shots, these were free of charge and really enhanced the experience. Then for dessert we had to try their berry cheesecake, and their chocolate fondant, these were both incredible! The same host then came over with shots of baby guinness (again free of charge) showing their care for customers. We also had a bottle of wine to share which was incredible. The staff were attentive and ready to offer help when needed or recommendations, they also gave us a preview of the steaks so we could get a understanding for the portion and level of marbling. Finally, when they asked us the reason for being so far from home and we told them we were celebrating, they brought us a free desert with a congratulations message! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, making us never want to leave! Although the bill was rather expensive it was more than worth it. If you have the money to spend (bare in mind prices range and this dinner wouldn’t cost as much as it did on an average day) or a event to celebrate we really recommend.

The steak was great! We came in as a party of eight, and everyone ordered something different. My spouse and I shared the Kobe Platter and really enjoyed it, but one of our friends ordered the Wagyu Ribeye, and it was easily the best thing on the table as it absolutely delicious.
The lobster tail was a bit too salty for my taste, but the texture and quality were excellent. The scallops were flavorful, though we expected a slightly larger portion.
The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our meal, which made the experience even better.
The main reason for the 4-star rating is because of the sides we ordered. The mashed potatoes, mac n’ cheese, and asparagus, and all lacked seasoning and just weren’t very good. On the flip side, the bread with garlic spread and truffle butter was fantastic! Our table really enjoyed that as a starter.
Overall, I’d definitely come back for the wagyu options and the great atmosphere we just expected more from the sides because if the overall price of the items.

A perfect 10/10 experience for our daughter’s birthday! From the warm welcome to the entire staff singing “Happy Birthday,” Kobe made us feel incredibly special. The service was top-tier, and we have to give a huge shout-out to Ethan for his exceptional help—he was always one step ahead and made the night flawless.
The steakhouse is beautifully furnished and ideal for a celebration. We are so pleased and will definitely be back again and again. Highly recommend!

We ordered the caviar and olives for starters. The caviar is prepared at the table and tasted amazing.
I had the lobster linguine for main, and was surprised how much lobster there was.
Ethan, our waiter, provided great service.
Before we ordered, he came over with all the different types of steaks on a board and informed us how each meat was different.
He asked if it was a special occasion, which it was, and when we had finished out meal, he brought out a plate which said ‘Happy Birthday’ in chocolate writing and a chocolate nibble. He went above and beyond to provide excellent service and made us feel welcome.
We really enjoyed our experience, and will definitely come again.

We were in Cambridge for the weekend and jumped out of a cab and asked the first person we came across where was the best place for a Steak meal, they recommend Kobo, what a fabulous meal.

Had a fantastic dinner at Kobe Steakhouse as a couple. We ordered the Wagyu board, edamame, avocado salad, and prawns — everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. The prawns especially stood out, incredibly tender and tasty. The cocktails were also spot on — well-crafted and a great complement to the meal. Loved the mix of Japanese, British, and other global influences on the menu. We’ll definitely be back!
