A dining experience reminiscent of Benihana, — well-trained chefs grill up teppanyaki orders in front of diners, with more than a few noteworthy tricks. Starting with a massive flame, eggs are juggled with spatulas, vegetables are flung into diners’ mouths.
While entertaining, the teppanyaki dishes are heavy on butter and doused with a little too much sweet sauce. The sushi, however, was more than decent and quite expertly prepared — a happy surprise considering the distance from both sea and big city.
Overall, a good option when seeking Japanese flavors in Redding — characterized more by its comforting nature than as a high cuisine.

A really good spot for celebrating. They’ve got fun engaging chefs that kept the whole table engaged and didn’t let me feel left out, despite me not doing butter (my food was prepared in the back). A bit pricy, but it’s dinner and a show. Expect to spend a couple hours here

This was a great experience. The food was great. The service was fantastic. I was frankly surprised at the quality of fish, the superb cuts and the various rolls. We spent $120 for 3 people, but in today’s economy, I felt that was fair. Goyza and a steak skewer (cooked at a perfect medium) app, hibachi chicken, veg and soup, a tiger roll, a combo with cali roll, nigiri and sushi and a avo roll with a decadent dessert. Parking is street, but not difficult, at least at the time we were there (a little after noon on a weekday). My wife and I will be going back for dinner in the near future.

Birthday dinner here was awesome as always! We love to sit at the sushi bar and the amazing Mallory was our server. This young lady is absolutely the most charming, beautiful and intelligent server ever!
The older gentleman was our sushi Chef and he rocked it. This man is a master! The plates were colorful, arranged perfectly, and delicious!
Mallory makes you feel at home and appreciated. The people here make your dinner a dining experience! We can’t wait to return!
And I got the most delicious free dessert for my birthday!

We have dinner here once a month. Occasionally we do the tabenaki but primarily we eat sushi at the bar.
Service is fantastic and the two sushi chefs are amazing! Freshest seafood in town and these chefs rock! Everything we have had is beyond compare and absolutely the best when you’re in northern California! Do yourself a favor and dine at Kobe tonight!

Our 9yr old picked Kobe for his bday dinner. All of us had a blast with the Teppanyaki chef cooking food for us. We were laughing the whole time. Great place & food, enjoyed their sushi too!

As in a typical Japanese/Asian restaurant, ordered lunch bento box with tempura, sushi, sashimi, and unagi. The environment, food quality, sometimes services were much like the same experience in other such places kind of a merchandise/chain. Normally no surprise, no special, except at the entrance it somehow took almost 10 minutes wait when there was really not many people (observing the girl was head-down on booking and completely ignored any coming customers).

Some of the best food I’ve ever had!
Service was great, and the mood was uplifting. Couldn’t even eat it all, enough for another meal. Everything was cooked to perfection. The chef was fun and made some food magic in front of our eyes. Hostess was great and was very compassionate about all of the horrific tragedy the CARR fire has placed on our small town. This was day 7 of the deadly fire and I really wasn’t in the mood to go out and eat, but my best friend came by and made me get out and try a new place. She is the best! I will look forward to going back when I am not so concerned about the people displaced by the fire.

Every single server and wait staff member was incredibly nice and professional. The food is so delicious with solid portions. The place is clean and tidy. The craft and tricks of the chefs are really cool and a fun thing to experience. We’d definitely come again when we’re in the area!

The dining experience was just OK. Not at all as entertaining as Beni Hanna or the original Kobe Japanese Steak House. The chef was so-so, although our server for drinks, salad, soup, etc….was very attentive. I am not a fan of Sushi but my dining partners liked the Sushi.
