I use to eat here often when i worked on this side of town however its been years since ive eaten here and I won’t be back. Service 0/10… meat wasnt seasoned and it was over cooked- the only thing good on the plate was the rice and i got enough of that to feed 3 ppl. I normally like Kobe Japan’s food but last night wasn’t good. My order was called about 7:00pm, the person who took the order wasn’t pleasant. I understand, they’re tired by the end of the night but every customer deserves quality customer service. I arrived at Kobe Japan after a long day at work, tired and can relate to being exhausted. I noticed the bag felt a bit lighter than normal but I dismissed it and proceeded home. I get home, my order of Steak, Shrimp, broccoli and Rice had about half the normal quantity of food with barely any broccoli. The little bit of steak wasn’t fresh nor tender and it taste funny. I believe it was scraps left over from the day. I immediately called and expressed my disappointment. I stated, I know it’s the end of a busy day and your about to close soon but every customer deserves quality service and quality food at all times. I don’t normally leave reviews but this time I felt a need to do so. Shame on you Kobe Japan! Lesson learned, always check your food before paying and leaving the establishment!

Just left and probably won’t be back. Ordered the Friday special which is chicken & zuchinni. Rude lady at the register said special is over at 2:30. I looked at my watch and it was 2:32 but she wouldn’t give it to me. So I ordered 2 egg rolls instead because I needed something to eat and thought that would be quick to get. 18 minutes later I finally get my two $5.28 skinny egg rolls after the small fry daddy they were using to cook them after turning up the temp 3 times finally cooked them. No apologies for me having to wait so long for two pitiful eggs rolls at $5.28. Need to work on better customer service here!! You just lost a customer!

The blandest Hibachi I have ever eaten. They could have at least thrown on salt or MSG on it. Hell, they could have pissed on it and it would have been more flavorful. It was bland even with the ginger sauce. The only bright spot was how tender the steak was.

Hands down best white sauce in town and what I’ve learned is that you have to go at the right time of day. If you go when they’re busy it’s just ok. I went yesterday, called in my order (it’s a must) and the food was great. I ordered the steak and shrimp and they were not overcooked. BUT it has happened in the last especially with their chicken. The prices have increased as well, almost doubled. Don’t expect good customer service, it’s always been subpar.

The OG of Greensboro. The world famous “White Sauce”. This place goes back decades ago and still one of my go-to establishments for quick lunch. I always get Hibachi Filet Mignon, which is not the actual Filet Mignon of course, but definitely a more tender beef cut compared to other restaurants.

June 2025: I’m kinda shocked by the reviews. I enjoy going to the restaurant for the lunch specials, which is less than $10 for meat, veggies , rice, and a drink. They do cook it batches, but the wait has been reasonable at 5-10 minutes.
I always dine-in, but I’ve gotten a plate to-go for a friend and they thought the chicken was lacking sauce, which I do agree with and it’s one reason I prefer to eat it straight from the grill.
I do think they need to make sure they’re keeping the white sauce on the counter cold and fresh and cleaning the bottles often.
Other than that, I don’t have any true concerns. Great prices, great food, great service, and great location.
