Food was pretty good and so was the service! The chef was our favorite part. There is a hidden automatic gratuity fee, not a huge deal, but it’s kinda weird that an itemized receipt isn’t given to you; and it’s stated nowhere that there is an automatic gratuity fee. We asked our server after looking at past reviews and noticing our bill was higher than expected. Like I said, not a big deal if you’re paying attention 🙂

It cost 75 dollars for two people and I got 2 kids menu on a separate bill and theirs was 50 dollars they dont tell you that fried rice is not included. That is outrageous I will not go there anymore these other Hibachi places the fried rice is included. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place. They also dont tell you they add 20% for a tip. DO NOT EAT HERE. THE WAITRESS DIDNT EVEN COME BUT ONE TIME TO ASK US IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING. WOULD LOVE TO GET MY MONEY BACK.

Taylor is literally the best. We came here once on vacation years ago and she was our waitress. We were so impressed with her that, when we subsequently moved to Martinsburg quite some time later, we recognized her as soon as we saw her. More impressively, she remembered us and even brought up topics we discussed our single other time there. You should go there just for her but the food is also predictably delicious and the show is fire ❤️ .

Decided to give this place a try but should have read the reviews first. Food was very meh, it needed lots of salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Service was decent. There was a random upcharge for fried rice on a $35+ meal. Mixed drinks were about $18 a piece and not priced on the menu. The restroom was DISGUSTING, made me completely lose my appetite. They also added on a 20% gratuity without mentioning it at the beginning of the meal. Very shady. Our bill was $150 for 2 adults and a toddler.

No pricing online. Ordered two hibachi meals after I was told they haven’t had sushi in 7 years. Said I had to be there by 9:30. Thought they closed at 10:30.. paid for a $76 bill that wasn’t itemized. My response “for two meals?” I asked if this included the tip. Manager “didn’t know”, she went to back and returned without an itemized bill. Said yes, there is a $10 tip included. I stated I was never told that and that the bill should reflect that there is a tip on it already. I was going to tip twice apparently. I told them that that was a scam and shady and I didn’t want to do business with them. Asked for a refund and they granted it.

The food was decent and the hibachi chef did a good job, entertaining and skilled. Service overall was fine. However, the restaurant automatically added a 20% gratuity without disclosing it, then taxed the bill after adding that gratuity, which made the total higher. When I asked for an itemized receipt, the waitress acted irritated and pretended not to know why I was asking. Very shady practice – customers deserve transparency about charges. I’d think twice before returning.

I ordered my food over the phone and expected my food to Hibachi Japanese Cooked food. The food was bland and dry and my husband’s Steak was not fully cooked. When the hostess gave us the price $113 bucks. I immediately questioned it and asked them if this was dinner entrees because the price it was too low $113 bucks we purchased extra rice and Vegetables With extra Hibachi Steak portions. I expected to pay at least $150-200 dollars but they cooked the food like a regular Chinese takeout order and to top it off the staff members were talking about me and did not have me on mute. Which was very unprofessional. As if I was calling to get my money back. I was the one that asked them to make sure it’s hibachi but this was more like a Chinese takeout order than Japanese steakhouse. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone else.

Would not recommend, you pay for show here and the food probably only tastes good because its drowing in sauce $230 for 4 adult half of what we ate was rice covered in like 4 different sauces

Kobe Japanese Steak House is a must-visit for anyone who loves bold, flavorful Japanese cuisine. My go-to is the beef chicken with noodles and rice. The portions are huge, so big that my wife and I usually just share one order, and it’s more than enough for two. The beef is tender, the chicken perfectly cooked, and the noodles and rice are packed with flavor.
As a foodie, I can say the quality and taste consistently impress. The combination of generous portions, fresh ingredients, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere makes Kobe a favorite spot for us every time.

We went for our first time since moving to Martinsburg and were super pleasantly surprised, it was wonderful! Food was delicious and staff was friendly & efficient! We were disappointed they didn’t have sushi, we aren’t sure whether that is a permanent thing. But the teppanyaki food was amazing and we will be back for sure!
