Social Profile:

Kobe. It’s called Kobe from the inspiration of the city, and the exquisite quality the city exhibits through its tradition in food. We all know that “Kobe Beef” is some magical piece of steak that we hold on a pedestal as the best tasting beef on the planet; it’s a culinary triumph at the genetic level. Well, at Kobe Japan Sushi and Steakhouse Bar, we not only serve our customers the best Kobe-style beef around, we present it in a style known as “Teppanyaki”—a cook-show, if you will, and trust me, you will be pleased. The master chefs here will give you a cooking show like you’ve never experienced. Fresh Scallops and Jumbo Shrimp, Maine Lobster and Kobe Filet Mignon will be grilled and playfully cooked right in front of you.

Japanese steakhouse & bar that dramatically prepares its dishes at open grills at diners’ tables.

Had a really great time celebrating my father’s birthday, we all fit around the hibachi grill. Went early afternoon on a Sunday and it was fantastic. Food was very good. If you like stake, I would recommend the filet mignon. Our chef was Rocky, he did a wonderful presentation .My nine month old grandson was amazed with the show.

I LOVE this place. I started eating here around 2 years ago. I don’t live very close but I go often because the sushi is amazing. Everyone is so nice and there is ample room for seating. The happy hour dining area is fun with TVs and a bar. The bartender is knowledgeable and kind. The nigiri is 100/10. The slice of fish is so large that it completely covers the rice. This is what I want when I eat nigiri. Happy hour deals are no joke over here! And overall pricing is great. Sushi can be so expensive. I also love the garlic edamame, heavy on the garlic for my other garlic lovers. Rolls are great- they have so many options. Expect large proportions. There is a hibachi area too, which is another reason why this place is so fun. Don’t miss out!

We sat in the bar so I didn’t see the rest of the restaurant. But the bar was nice enough.
The service was excellent. Fast and attentive. Granted, it was very slow, probably because the Super Bowl was on.
The food was beautiful and delicious. Nice sized portions and everything was good. Not a single dish disappointed.
We had a variety of sushi, I believe we had 6 rolls, seaweed salad, crab and cucumber salad, fried rice, gyoza, avocado egg roll, seafood miso and it was all really good.
Prices were very reasonable. There were 3 of us and we ordered way too much food. We ate maybe half of what we ordered and left with enough to have dinner again tomorrow. I also ordered a $9 Moscow mule. All of that and our total was $130

The food was great! The chef was fun and friendly and did many fun things with our food. The floors were a bit greasy and slippery under the table. We went on Christmas evening and it was a very nice way to spend out time.

Just an ok place for typical sushi rolls and Japanese dishes.

The rolls were just “ok” nothing that requires an outstanding comment. I’ve had better.

The pricing was reasonable for the appetizers and also the rolls. However, charging $4.95 for a glass of soda (regardless of refills) is crazy.

Service I gave 4 stars, I can tell they are trying, but something deeper goes on in this establishment, to the extent that the service seems a bit, well, “fake”

Sadly, but not really, I won’t be returning.

I am writing to share my disappointment regarding our experience last night at your restaurant. We had a 7:00 PM reservation at a hibachi table, and unfortunately, several issues affected our evening.
Our server, who was wearing his hat tilted to the side and had cut in his eyebrows took our order incorrectly. We ordered spicy shrimp and chicken, along with a tuna sushi taco. However, our order was brought out incorrectly, and we never received the tuna sushi taco at all. When we addressed the mistake, there was no apology or effort made to correct the situation in a professional manner.Additionally, when we informed the chef that we had not ordered chicken and beef, his attitude noticeably changed. After that, he seemed to ignore us for the remainder of the meal, which made the experience uncomfortable. To make matters worse, while we were still eating and had not finished our food, another staff member removed our plates without asking us. This was extremely disappointing and made us feel rushed and disregarded. We chose your restaurant expecting a pleasant hibachi experience, but unfortunately, the service did not meet that expectation. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address these concerns with your staff so that other guests do not have a similar experience.

We had a reservation and were seated quickly on a busy Tuesday night. Service was efficient, but communication about an egg allergy was limited and not very reassuring. The restaurant was crowded and noisy, making it hard to interact with the chef. The food was fine- the rice had good flavor, but the steak, chicken, and vegetables were fairly plain. For two hibachi dinners, two sodas, and a side of bacon rice, the total came to $140 with an automatic 18% tip. While I don’t mind paying for a great dining experience, this one simply didn’t deliver the quality or value to match the price

Kobe has been around for a long time and it’s been a couple of years since I’ve been. Went for a Friday night dinner with a friend. It was great to see the service and food is still really good.

We chose to sit at the Habachi table and chef Rocky took care of us.

My friend and I shared an order of mixed tempura off the regular menu and both had the NY Steak and Scallop dinner and upgraded to the bacon fried rice (I’m told you can have them add fresh garlic too, which I will next time) . Everything was absolutely delicious and seasoned well. I washed my meal down with a watermelon mint cooler, which was refreshing on a hot day.

Reservations are recommended as Kobe is a popular place.

Be aware, while there is parking, the lot is on the smaller side and is shared by other restaurants so fills up quickly on busy nights. You may have to park on the street.

Kobe Japan Pleasant Hill offers delightful sushi experiences. The Rainbow roll was exceptionally fresh and delicious. The service, particularly from the Asian lady, was impeccable and added to the overall enjoyable dining experience. I really enjoyed my lunch time here.
