It’s good. Kind of weird that they call it beef gyukatsu. The sets are actually really nice here, at least conceptually . They give you a little grill to cook your food if you get the gyukatsu. Their gyoza and takoyaki were all forgettable. Crispy gyoza bo were near crispy enough. The place itself is on the more expensive end. The service here was pretty tepid and ultimately what decided whether I got the premium or regular gyukatsu set. Our table was still a bit sticky but they keep it clean besides that. Additionally, the sets weren’t really exciting when a few of the items on the sets are sauce.

Came here on a Saturday evening and only one there. People might be sleeping on this place. The premium gyukatsu set was amazing. It comes rare with a hot stone to cook to your desired doneness and comes with salt a wasabi sauce and a soy sauce for dipping. The meat was super tender and the whole experience was amazing. Can’t wait to return and get it again.

Tried the pork katsu sando and the curry egg rice, both were amazing! The pork was so crispy and tender, and it had a really nice mustard that balanced the flavors really nicely. The curry was yummy to dip the sando into.

Oh, let me tell you about the absolute flavor explosion I had at Kobe Gyukatsu last Friday at 19755 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748! This place is a meat lover’s paradise, serving up gyukatsu so tender and juicy it practically melts in your mouth. Every bite of that perfectly breaded, golden-crisp katsu was a symphony of savory goodness, paired with fresh, vibrant sides that made my taste buds do a happy dance. The vibe is cozy and inviting, buzzing with energy, making it the ultimate spot to dive into a plate of pure deliciousness. Trust me, this is the kind of food that leaves you dreaming about your next visit!

Now, while the food was a total knockout, the service could use a little pep in its step. Don’t get me wrong—the staff were friendly, but it felt like they were juggling a bit too much, and we were left waiting longer than we’d hoped. A smidge more attentiveness would’ve made the experience flawless, but honestly, the mouthwatering katsu was so good it stole the show! If you’re craving a meal that’s a 10/10 on flavor and don’t mind a tiny wait, Kobe Gyukatsu is your spot. I’m already counting down the days to my next plate of that juicy, crispy heaven!

This restaurant is located inside a strip mall with a shared parking lot. Parking isn’t that big but enough to fill all the guests thats going to different places. If you drive on colima, you can see the restaurant because the storefront faces Colima.

This is a place known for Gyukatsu but it has other food as well such as udon and ramen. I ordered a beef combo ( it has salad, miso soup, cheese corn and a couple sauces ) and a ramen.

The Gyukatsu is decent and you cannot get it without the combo. I would give it a 4 star but unfortunately the ramen is below average. I would give it a 2.5 to 3 star. Maybe it’s because the restaurant is specialized in Gyukatsu so they didn’t put too much effort into other food. The ramen is just regular ramen where I can cook myself.

The service is good and the server is friendly. The price tends to be on the expensive end around $30 something for the Gyukatsu combo but I don’t think it tastes that good for it to be worth $35-40.

Average out I would say this is a 3.5 – 4 star restaurant but since I love the cleanliness and friendly service, I’ll give it a 4 star.

I was in need of a dinner place while I was around the Diamond Bar / Rowland Heights area and Yelp give me Kobe Gyukatsu on its list of possibilities. I was sold on their menu items and made my way there for a Saturday dinner right before 6pm. We must have beat the dinner rush at this sweet spot of timing as there was only a handful other tables so far. After we got settled into our meal, the entire place started filling up.

We ordered an appetizer (kushiyaki for $8.95) and two sets (beef cutlet set for $25.95 and curry pork cutlet for $18.95). The appetizer was good, but the standouts were for sure the sets we ordered. I love how I can control how done I want my beef to be. The two dipping sauces for the beef set gave it a nice kick too! The pork cutlet was crispy and lean. I enjoyed dipping the cutlet in the curry and doing the same for the beef as well! Each set had its own mini stove for cooking, which makes for a hot meal but also potential for you to hit the black surface and possibly get a slight burn. Just be careful when you are navigating the stove (or two like we were!) as you cook and reach across to grab other items.

Because of the cooking apparatus, you will smell afterwards so also plan accordingly. I was so stuffed afterwards and appreciate the large plaza that I could roam around while digesting my meal.

Parking is very easy here, lots and lots of spots!

Enjoyed the food here more than I anticipated, and I really want to come back!

I ordered the Premium Gyukatsu Combo, and Pork Cutlet Combo. Food was an unexpected delight! I really like how this place breads the beef. The flavor is not overwhelming, and adds a nice texture to the beef.

The sides were also delicious! The salad was addicting. Once the food arrived, I thought to myself that it was not a lot of food (especially for how much I was paying). Cooking on the little heated grill is a nice aesthetic. By the end of the meal, I was stuffed and happy!!!

The service here is great too! The outdoor dining is nicely spaced apart, and there is staff ready to assist at all times. Fantastic experience. Will definitely be returning.

Interesting experience, still waiting to get water refilled.

The food here is excellent, got two of the gyukatsu sets and they come with a stone grill cook at your table. It was interesting and we enjoyed it. Also got the katsu sandwiches which were delicious along with the snowy cheese flakes gyukatsu set which was full of novel and delicious flavors.

Only complaint is that we only saw the server infrequently and were quite thirsty waiting for water to be refilled.

Would recommend the food, we’ll be back and maybe we’ll have better luck next time

Korean BBQ unlike others. They serve a variety of different grades of beef that you can place on a mini BBQ grill. There are also different types of delicious Korean dishes to choose from. The atmosphere is great. The staff are friendly. If you have a large party it is best to call ahead and make a reservation.

Services are quick and good. Prices are reasonable. The Premium Gyukatsu Beef cutlets are very delicious. (Recommend middle-well) Spicy Chicken Cream Fried Noodles is good and creamy too. Probably come back for udon or lunch set here.
