While at my log cabin (Buck Haven) in the mountains of Western North Carolina I decided to try a new restaurant. It was great. Food was delicious with large portions. The prices were very reasonable. I had a steak and chicken platter with rice and 2 spring rolls. And the meal came with a salad. I will definitely make this one of my stops while Im at Buck Haven! Recommend Highly!

Wow, who’d have thought you could find really good sushi in the area, boy was I wrong. The sushi menu is full of great roll choices & decent Nigiri choices. Our Hamachi (Yellow Tail) Nigiri was fresh & tasty. When our Tornado Roll & Pink Cadillac Roll came out we were holy cow impressed with the size! Both of these gems were stuffed full of deliciousness, not a bunch of rice with a little filling. We both were so full we ended up bringing half of our rolls home to enjoy as a snack later.
Our waiter was the nicest guy, but had a little trouble understanding us & had to come back a few times to confirm what we said, so 1 ⭐off the service category. The interior seating area is a little tight & very noisy with the kitchen clinking & clanging making it a bit difficult to converse, so 1 ⭐ off the atmosphere category. Next time we’ll try the outdoor patio seating & hope the heaters keep it comfy.

A nice Japanese grill. Large amount of seafood dishes. They have an extensive sushi menu. As well as several other options. The food was well prepared and had amazing flavor.

First time and didn’t really know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! Everything we ordered was really good. The spring rolls may be the best I’ve ever had. The sushi choices all tasted fresh and were packed with items. The tempura veggies were lightly battered and tasty. The tuna taking was fresh and perfectly seared. All the sauces were great, and ourxservice was quick, attentive, and with plenty of smiles. The saki and wine were good too. Give them a try, or come back, you won’t be disappointed.

Honestly one of the best restaurants in this area. The food is always consistently so good and fresh every single time we have been here. The place is small so be prepared to wait but it’s worth the wait. Murphy has some great family owned restaurants and this is definitely on the top of our list. We’ve lost count of how many times we’ve been here and will definitely keep coming back!

My hubby and I decided to try this out after hearing good things about it. We ordered Chicken Nuggets and fries for my toddler (which were good and decently priced) and the Tornado Sushi Roll which was good. Unfortunately that was the extent of the deliciousness. I order the Hibachi Steak meal and My hubby got the Steak Chicken Shrimp Hibachi. My hubby he said his meal was flavorless. My meal was the same. My steak had absolutely no flavor and was highly bland. When i added salt it just tasted like watery salted steak somehow. I had also asked for Soba noodles instead of rice and was disappointed that I did not receive soba noodles. After being in the restaurant industry and being in fine dining for years, I am not one to send a dish back or comment if they forget something. I nearly sent my dish back but like mentioned because i was in the industry for years I did not. Overall the sushi is fine, but the Hibachi is a Lowbachi. If you have high expectations, i would greatly lower them. After spending over 70.00 on a couple dinners and sushi, I wish I had gone to McDonalds and eaten there, cause at least i would have eaten my meal and left full, rather than leaving hungry and disappointed.
Long story short, super expensive for very tasteless food. Save the trip and eat elsewhere in Murphy. This was not it.

We’ve ate here 2 or 3 times. The food is pretty good and portions are pretty big. Prices are fair for dinner, but no lunch options. Don’t think I’ve ever been to an asian place that didn’t offer a lowered priced menu during lunch. Minor gripe.
My biggest issue is the lack of service and slow service. Last time, we were there for 40 minutes before they brought our food. I think the server forgot to tell them for a while, but even then, they didn’t make our order a priority.
I may edit this review in the future. Lets see if they improve. Each time I’ve been so far service was really slow. Nice people though.
Edit: I have been back. Had a different server. It was much faster service. I’ll bump to 4 stars
