AUTHENTIC JAPANESE cuisine!! Very good food and atmosphere – very laid back and relaxing we went with the tea room which does cost $10, but much worth it! Loved the croquettes, tempura, chicken skewers, Shabu-Shabu (getting to make it yourself was FUN!! ), also loved the tempura ice cream!!! Highly recommend this establishment and will be back again!

Wonderful experience. Service was great. Kimmie and Robert were friendly and the Food was amazing!!! Only suggestion I have is they may want to consider putting doors over the tea rooms for more privacy and slippers for customers who remove their shoes, so we can go to the other bathroom w/o having to put shoes back in. Otherwise, my wife and I had a great time for her Birthday and we will visit again! Thank You!

I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately it did not happen. The quick and dirty. Long wait bad service, nice people. Order I thought would be traditional dishes that came out terrible and could be found at any amateur kitchen. There are other sushi restaurants in the area that unfortunately do it better. That’s not saying a lot.
The long story….
The ambiance the space, as well as a few tatami rooms to enjoy. I believe we were there around 5:50-6ish. Eventually led to ice water menus were provided when we were seated. A few minutes in we were asked what else to drink, we ordered apps as well. And this is where the troubles started. We received our first round of drinks. About 620ish I finished my water 10mins passed I moved it to the outside portion of table. We did get to order our meals but no water. The other tables begin to fill as well as a few of the tatami’s. No apps still at this point. Around 640/645 rcved the apps. Other tables/ tatami received their first portions, soups, more water drinks etc. apps. The kara age was overcooked, and cooked in old oil. The takoyaki was more oil than flavor. Sad at this point. In my opinion the barometer of any Japanese restaurant, ruined. If they are listed as their specials then at any restaurant. At this point I asked for more water. My soda was empty as well. Did not get that filled, it was about 710. About a good 40mins just to get a water refill and I had to ask. Other tables/tatami that appeared later were already eating into their meals. Around 720 we finally received our three simple rolls. No soy, no mamezara for soy, had to ask for that as well. At this point I started noticing more active water pouring for all the tables. Had no food and we both were getting hangry. I still was without my plate, my friend waiting, picking at her sushi. (No need to be entirely rude) 730 maybe other tatami table received their full meal (I believe was sukiyaki or some form as they had a portable stove brought to them) and at this point were getting ready to leave. At this point I’m like let’s just call it. Still no main dish. Still no soda refill. When finally did get service it WAS to bring out my chicken and beef yakisoba. The ONE dish I wanted as I’ve been looking to find a more traditional version to eat since I lived in Japan. Hoping to find a restaurant that can get it right. Have yet to find one. NOT a single one. The dish is a quick dish normally found on the side in kitchen cars or konbinis throughout Japan. So to get this a hour and some into a meal and it not deliver. Sadness. The presentation was great it was like getting fajitas at a restaurant hearing the sizzle on the hot plate seeing the slight glances of smoke hit the lights and aroma. That first bite was the tang and what tasted like ketchup. The sizzle had faded just as fast as it moved from the kitchen door to the table. Sooo disappointed by it all. At this point I called over the waitress and asked for boxes (I can fix it. grew up in a house not to waste food) …I still had not received my side of fried rice that I thought we were not charged for(had to go back to pick up). We received the bill boxes had to go get a bag from the hostess to carry as we walked there from some shopping in the area. If the food was good I would not care about the service. But terrible service and unfortunately bad food. Maybe the dishes I ordered are just it. I ordered traditional Japanese dishes I thought that would be a toss up. I live in the area and thought to make it one of my regular spots to bring guest friends dates . But I just can’t I won’t. I really really wanted this place to be great; good even. Good luck so many great ratings and raves but my experience on a Sunday early night was not it.

We had a good experience here for my daughter’s birthday. We reserved one of the tatami tea rooms, and it was a fun experience. Her and I split the shabu shabu and it was plenty for both of us to enjoy. It was pretty bland, but the quality was good. My husband and other daughter each got ramen, which were also very large, but not as tasty as other authentic ramen we have had. Overall a good experience, but probably just a one time thing.

Book one of their tea rooms for a more authentic Japanese experience! The food was good and I would recommend trying one of the dishes that are not easy to find in Denver like Takoyaki (spherical octopus snack) or Tonkatsu (pork cutlet). Their Miso soup was the best we have ever had.

We went here with some friends and ended up ordering so much food…with no regrets! Tried 3 different appetizers; multiple sushi trays and the chefs choice sashimi and then of course a dessert. Everything that was recommended to us by our server was delicious! Amazing food and wonderful service! We will be back!

I needed a sushi fix and Kobe An was there for me! Authentic decor supports friendly service and a quality menu. The eel and maki I ordered were delicious. Located in Cherry Creek, it’s a perfect place to satisfy your sushi craving.

The ambiance is nice and the tea rooms are comfortable. Erina was an absolute gem as a server. However, the food is T E R R I B L E! I cannot emphasize that enough. I took one bite, spit it out and pushed my plate away. The chicken taste like leftovers and the Miso soup had a burnt aftertaste. The owner refused to comp or replace my order because “well you ordered it”. Listen to the reviews, food is not worth it.

The atmosphere is so special here! The staff are so nice and welcoming. The food is incredible! We ordered sushi and dumplings. The homemade gyoza are outstanding. We also ordered their signature “Big Plates” which came with miso soup, tempura shrimp and veggies, 4 pieces of sushi, rice and beef of chicken. They also had a good selection of wine and cocktails. We barely saved room for dessert, but we were celebrating a special birthday so we had to order a small chocolate lava cake to share (delicious too).

All around we had a very unique experience and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!
