Waited about 5 minutes to get seated. The tablet to order the food didn’t work so it took a while longer to order our meats. Once we got our first round of meats we were ready to order for the second round of meats but we were never asked if we wanted refills on water/drinks or meat. Waited between 10-15 minutes for someone to do our refill on meat and drinks. No plates for the appetizer had to ask for them. Very low attention to detail.

Just had an amazing lunch at KoBa. The lunch combos are fresh and flavorful. I got the ox bone soup, it had a hearty, full bodied taste. I love their banchan, especially their kimchi. Perfectly balance between sweet, salty and spicy. Definitely need to come back and try out their all you can eat option. Highly recommended!

As someone whose first kbbq experience was Korea town in LA, I did not have high hopes about finding a good kbbq place in Denver when I moved here. I am happy to say this is the best kbbq we’ve had in Denver! The food is always great, service is quick, and the K-pop videos that play throughout the building are always fun to watch. We have moved a few times and will always drive however long it takes to get here. They have innovated a ton since we first visited, adding all you can eat ramen and sushi, as well as tablets and even a serving robot! 10/10!

Just saw the ad in Korean weekly newspaper about KOBA so my hubby and I decided to give it a try with a very low expectation because of the price point being about 16% lower (lunch AYCE menu) than the competition in Aurora.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of beef offered. Their banchan offering was about 6-8 which included tasty kimchi and Japchae was really good! I also made myself ramen with ramen machine(there were 4 machines) and was impressed with variety of ramen in stock.
Our server was very attentive and helpful. She was informative and seem genuinely interested in how we were enjoying the food and the experience. She also let me know they have been getting some bad reviews recently and would love our genuine feedback. So here I am, we don’t see any reason to leave bad reviews from our visit today, in fact we’ll be back despite it’s about 5 minutes longer drive compared to our usual K BBQ AYCE.

I used to love coming here but since then it took a fall. They used to have stopped tier system where you chose the level/price/options. But now it’s a singular menu. Granted it’s cheaper but I came in to get good quality good with options. It was disappointing because I wanted the fried shrimp for appetizer but they took it off. But the biggest disappointment was their appetizer bar. They had varieties of wings but now they have 1 and the wings were so hard you couldn’t really eat them and the sauce bar. They didn’t have anything I typically like which really killed the experience for me. The only good addition is they have a Ramen bar… but with everything they lost, it hardly makes up for it

the best cuts of meat i have had at any kbbq in Denver. the pork belly and spicy bulgogis are a must. the hot appetizer bar is also very delicious, but the salad/sauce bar was a bit underwhelming. they also have a giant screen constantly playing kpop music videos which I did enjoy. wait staff was phenomenal. huge shout out to Sebastian!

Today was the first time I’ve ever walked out of a restaurant because the service was so bad. We came in around 1:30 for lunch and were seated immediately. There were maybe 3 other tables being served so it was not busy. Our server seated us and informed us the buffet bar was not open for lunch. She booted up our tablet and after ordering our food the tablet crashed. We had to order through the server when they brought the sides. We were never brought any chopsticks or cooking utensils or plates. They replaced part of the buffet bar with Marchan ramen… by the time we got our original order of meats it had been 20 minutes from when we ordered from the server. The server brought out 3 of the correct items we ordered and a 4th that we did not order then argued with us that we did order it. All of this is happening and I’m seeing 2 of the employees in the back talking on their phones and we still dont have any chopsticks or utensils to cook the meat we got. At this point we voted to leave. The service was terrible and whose bright idea was it to replace the hot bar with packaged ramen?! The hot bar was nice because the service was slow. Won’t be back and I dont recommend eating here.

Okay so I know this is a harsh review but it is mainly because of 1 reason: there was hair in my food. Multiple times in the one visit.

I have come to this KoBa spot multiple times and loved it. I like the menu options and I enjoy the buffet style.
However this last time I went, I had gone in a group of 4. One of my buddies found 2 hairs in his food that he got from the buffet area. We were honestly not upset by that since it was the buffet area where everybody grabs from. It wouldn’t be shocking if it was a customers hair since customers go in there and grab stuff on their own. We still assume it was random customers hair.
However, 15 minutes later when we got our meat, we ate 2 of our meats and started cooking our chicken. We saw a hair sticking up from the chicken and tried to grab it with the tongs, but it ended up being so incredibly long. It just kept pulling. It was so freaking gross. My buddy had to grab it with his bare hands because the hair stemmed between the chicken pieces. He threw it to the floor immediately and then we realized we didn’t have anything to show for it and ask for new meat.
We didn’t mention it to the staff, but definitely should have. We mainly didn’t ask because we already had a few things go wrong while we were there and the staff were not the greatest. They’re usually awesome but this time it seemed to be different employees than when I’m usually there. It started off with our kiosk tablet thing (where you order your meats) wasn’t working. It kept refreshing and getting rid of any progress in our order. So anything added to our cart, was deleted and we had to quickly order things before it refreshed. After getting annoyed by it we figured to just ask for a new one, but when I went up to talk to the employees, they seemed to just be talking (though they saw me waiting) and just continued while I waited. Once they talked to me, they kind of just shut down the fact that my kiosk might not be working by saying she got our order. Like… yeah after 10 tries lol. And we also wanted to make sure it didn’t accidentally order our stuff 10 times since it refreshed every time. Regardless, we didn’t end up getting a new kiosk.

Then, we needed a new grill right before the chicken incident. We pressed the Call Employee button. We waited a while and pressed it again. We waited a bit more and pressed it again. Throughout this time, no employees even came by or checked on us. We (I think) pressed it 1-2 more times before I decided to stand up and just ask since we had been waiting a while at that point. I ended up waiting at the front though, with no employees there. I saw they were in the kitchen all talking and 2 of the kitchen staff were dancing (which is sweet on its own but they’d been gone for so long).
I waited for an employee and eventually made eye contact with a kitchen staff and she had our server come out finally. I considered that they may have not been doing the change of grill request due to lack of clean grills, but she proved that wrong because she had one readily available and changed it immediately. It was just like, what’s the point of the button. Or maybe if the request didn’t go through, it could’ve been the kiosk not sending it (and perhaps a new one would’ve helped…). I’m also in computer science so I’m not just a Karen assuming the kiosk is faulty, I have personally worked on these systems before. I have also worked in the food industry so I am usually very patient and understanding with service! We still gave her a great tip regardless of the experience, but felt it was worth reviewing since it was a wild ride. Probably won’t be going back, because of the hair alone. So gross.

For reference, it wasn’t busy and there were 2-3 tables (of 2-4 people) seated at max (including my table).

They finally have a la carte lunch options. I’ve only had all you can eat dinner at this place. Good to see that they have more options and available hours. I just don’t feel like eating until I burst everytime I come here.

They have some easy soup options, I really like the new Koba soup. Be warned, they’re really good but really hot. They come out in these black cauldron looking bowls. I had a hard time slowing down eating without burning myself but totally worth it. I might come here for lunch more than dinner now.

Dinner was good, however you can only have the “all you can eat” option for dinner, which was $38 per person. The “all you can eat” also had restrictions on some of the meat options. I would have liked other options for dinner. The hostess was busy doing other things and made us wait a while to get seated, it was not busy at all either. Very attractive and trendy on the inside. Parking and main entrance are on the south side of the building.
