They recently changed their name and honestly, it was the name that first caught my eye: Koala Grill – Sounds cute enough. Anyway, came to check them out and tried their chicken/beef teriyaki bowl. It was pretty good, portions are good (compared to others rhyming with Naba Grill) and the teriyaki sauce is also different tasting but nonetheless good. The people are really nice as well but if you are people averse, they also have a kiosk from where you can order. I have tried the regular and large bowls and I have also brought friends and they also enjoyed this place. It was a nice change from your chain teriyaki places. They also have more than teriyaki bowls so for those out there that are looking for other types of things. I usually try to eat fairly healthy things so usually it’s a chicken and beef bowl with no sauce for me. I’ve brought a couple people and they enjoy it as well.
Come check them out if you are looking for a waaaaay better mom & pop chicken teriyaki spot!!

The restaurant has a great atmosphere with beautiful crystal stones on the stage. The food is fresh and delicious, and the prices are reasonable. I especially liked the grilled chicken and curry. The chicken katsu was very crispy. I will come back age！!

OMG they are so good you get so much for a great price I spent less than $20 and got a large teriyaki chicken and beef bowl with an order of egg rolls I eat here every Sunday and I get 2 meals for the price of 1 thank you so much for being generous I recommend this place to everyone

My bf and I drove up to Tustin to visit the Micro Center for the first time. After shopping we needed a bite to eat before heading back to San Diego, and we saw this place and wanted to give it a try. The food prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. I ordered the chicken sando that came with curly fries. My bf ordered Don buri bowl. Let me tell you the smells from the kitchen and the food were AMAZING. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. I wish I took pictures! I highly recommend you come give them a try as you will not regret it. They rebranded their name and are now Koala Grill, but they were there before. While we ate we spoke with the older gentleman who owns the restaurant. He was super sweet and offered us some sides to compliment the meal. They also have a little side cart with pickled veggies and sauces which is very convienent. We are excited to visit them again when we come back up. Please visit this place!!

My first time at this location and I absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very relaxing and gave a home like feeling. I ordered the egg rolls and a chicken teriyaki rice bowl. The portion size was really good for the price.

The cutlet sando is something that I am going to be dreaming about. I have been seeing it time and time again all over social media and I always thought I’d have to book a ticket to Japan to actually try a good one. That was until I found this place. So close to home yet a hidden gem! They have so many mouthwatering dishes to choose from yet that sandwich is something that I’m going to have to come back for regularly. Hands down the perfect meal for me!!!

THIS PLACE IS LEGITIMATELY AMAZING. Normally when you get a beef brown from somewhere like this it’s usually dry, and chewy, but everything here is clearly made fresh. It was easily the best beef bowl I’ve ever had!
