Went for dinner on Saturday walk-in and got seated immediately, the food was delicious with nice presentations. Great lighting and atmosphere with professional services! They also have well decorated communal area from the Inn, especially during Christmas!

Knoxie’s always has the best appetizers and tonight was no different. We had the calamari and the lollipop chicken. Both were excellent! For the main course, I had the pork with potatoes au gratin and Brussel sprouts and it was prepared perfectly. We had probably the best table in the house…right in front of the fireplace; the service and atmosphere were fantastic! And afterwards we wandered through their huge courtyard, taking pictures by the Christmas decorations. We really enjoy going here.

It’s been a while since we’ve been to Knoxies and we were disappointed during the last visit but that was a few years ago, so we thought we would give it another go and hit the bar for dinner.

Unfortunately our experience left us uninspired and disappointed.

First the good… The oyster chowder is tasty although a bit more potatoes than I’d like. I also almost broke a tooth on an oyster pearl that should’ve been caught before the meat was added. Secondly the filet was good, but $48 I expected more than 2 shrimp that were haphazardly harpooned to the top of the steak – so much for presentation. Service was attentive and friendly.

Now the not so good…. The bar was so noisy with various pieces of equipment running that it completely killed the atmosphere. Now we understand why we were the only ones at the bar.

The tuna appetizer while tasty, the portion was tiny. 5 small pieces of tune for $18. It was supposed to be sesame crusted but we didn’t see any sesame seeds. Just wasn’t worth the price of admission.

The single crab cake entree while tasty with lump, the crab cake was super small and appeared to be +/- 3oz, it wasn’t much bigger than a golf ball or lemon wedge. The smallest crab cake we’ve ever seen served in or around Annapolis area.

The desert topped off the experience with undersized cuts or pie – they appeared to be cut from a 6″ pie pan. The key lime pie filling tasted good, but the crust was soggy.

Needless to say Knoxies left a lot to be desired given the price point, there are better options.

We had to stop by Knoxie’s Table while we were on Kent Island, and I’m so glad we did! Our server, Steve, was super sweet and attentive. We started with the Black & Blue wedge salad, which was absolutely wonderful. The JW butcher board was a hit — who doesn’t love a good charcuterie board? We finished with the pork belly bao buns; they weren’t really my thing, but my boyfriend really enjoyed them. Overall, great place, great atmosphere, and great service. We’ll definitely be back!

Knoxie’s Table was an absolutely delicious experience!

I was very impressed with the use of local, fresh ingredients in creative ways. Everything I tasted was DELICIOUS, particularly the PEPPER JACK CREAM CORN. I can’t recommend this dish enough- it’s richly flavored without being heavy. Somehow, the corn remained crunchy, even in this creamed form. Fantastic.

I had the STEAK FRITES and I was quite impressed with the cut of meat, its tenderness, and the perfect medium rare cook.

The parmesan fries were actually the one disappointment for my meal- they were not crispy enough.

I tasted my table-mate’s PAN SEARED SCALLOPS risotto and the scallops were divine. As were the garlic mashed potatoes- perfectly whipped and so light! The PARMESAN CRUSTED CHICKEN was wonderful too.

We shared the JW BUTCHER BOARD as an appetizer and it was varied and fantastic. The peach chutney was a particular stand-out.

Dessert was very good as well- Cookies & Cream Smith Island Cake, Caramel Smith Island Cake, and corn Crème brûlée. All were excellent.

The atmosphere felt upscale without being too stuffy.

The service didn’t QUITE match the quality of the food.

Our table accumulated dirty plates and utensils without anyone ever removing them. Also, we had to request clean cutlery for dessert.

None of that will stop me from returning, but it’d be wonderful if they could elevate the service to match the quality of the food.

We visited Knoxies years ago and were unimpressed. We decided to give it another try. What a difference. We had great service from the time we arrived until we left. Pleasant atmosphere. We had the butchers board and it was amazing. We were a small party of 5 and there was plenty for all. We also had the crusted tuna as an app and that was great. For dinner- crab cakes, NY strip, sea bass, and the chicken pasta. All were fantastic. Can’t wait to go back. Our server Ashley was very personable and attentive.

The restaurant is laid out in a very “laid back” manner with lounge booths and such. We were sat near a fireplace, which added a nice ambiance, but unfortunately made our night a bit too warm and stuffy. Additionally, the live music that was a tad too loud and made it difficult to hold a conversation.

The food was great and made to order. I ordered the braised beef tips and my wife ordered the burger. The beer/cocktail/wine list is also pretty decent.

The service was mixed. While our waiter was very nice, we didn’t see him very much.

All in all, we were content and would be willing to give it another shot if it was suggested to us, but I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to go by myself.

Had a really great time here! The service was really great, the food was amazing and the drinks were great! The restaurant has beautiful decor as well.

For my appetizer, I got the crab meat gazpacho that was delicious and marked as gluten free. For dinner, I had the gluten free beet salad and the garlic mashed potatoes that were also gf. Would totally come back here again when back on Kent Island.

Our meal was fantastic! We are staying in the hotel and made plans to dine here two nights in a row. So glad we did! The special of soft shell crab appetizer and tuna poke were really fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend the crab cakes too. They also have a fantastic wine menu and creative cocktails. Can’t wait to go back again!
