We started with the charcuterie board, followed by the escargot, and then the foie gras. The foie gras was the standout—unexpectedly silky, creamy, and buttery, paired perfectly with fig marmalade. I practically licked the board clean.
For my entrée, I ordered the grilled halibut, which was tender and flaky with great flavor, served over crisp greens and potatoes. Everything worked beautifully together.
We finished with the sticky toffee pudding, which unfortunately was too dense and difficult to eat. Aside from that, it was a really enjoyable meal, and I’ll definitely be back.
Great service by our waiter, Mitch, as well. Highly recommend for a date night!
We tried the pain au chocolat, their housemade buttermilk biscuit, the hamburger, and the Salmon Gravlax Benedict and every single dish was above expectations. You can tell there’s real attention to quality and detail in the kitchen.
The standout for me was honestly the sauces. Every plate had something unique going on and the flavors were rich, balanced, and just brought everything together. They don’t phone anything in here.
For the level of service and the quality of food, the prices are more than fair. I’ve paid more for meals that didn’t come close.
Definitely making this one of my go-to spots moving forward.
Update: The Chef has updated the lunch menu to include a tagliatelle and mushroom pasta dish. I added the Cajun chicken as the protein. It was delicious (and the noodles were not overcooked). I vote for this dish to make the regular roster on the menu. The soup on the lunch soup and salad is now cauliflower with an olive oil garnish. It was a nice complement to the grilled cheese sandwich. Pro tip: If you’re hungry, add some ham to make it more substantial and filling while expanding the flavor profile. Knox Bistro continues to deliver in all categories.
It’s great to have a legitimate French bistro in the area. The Cajun chicken salad and burger are perfect options for lunch depending on how hungry you feel. I’ve always had excellent service. The atmosphere feels bright and elevated.
What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Our server, Marion, was exceptional, and the sommelier (whose name I sadly didn’t catch) offered thoughtful guidance throughout the meal. The entire team felt genuinely invested in our experience — attentive, seamless, and never intrusive. It honestly felt like they cared about the evening, not just the service.
The food was excellent, and paired with such a knowledgeable, engaged staff, the whole meal felt like a guided experience. We can’t wait to return.
