We visited early in out trip to Mountain City and I had to go again as we headed out. I’m a latte-cautious person (let me taste the coffee!) … the pumpkin spice iced latte was incredible. Husband really liked the matcha as well. The homemade cream cheese spreads are delivered in a scoop on a plate (also love). And the building interior itself is gorgeous. Enjoyed their beans for pour over at camp and will definitely order more.

Stumbled on this gem. Staff is fantastic. The coffee (Bourbon pecan) was ONE of the best cups I’ve ever had. Then I see they make their own cream cheese flavors.. Bought some Apple Pie cream cheese… So good. Don’t miss this local spot!!!

Know Better Coffee is an amazing place. The owners and their staff are very kind. Always helpful when you want to try something new. The building is gorgeous and so relaxing. Their coffee, espresso, cold brew and tea latte’s are perfection. They make your drink with care to get it just the way you like it. There are delicious New York bagels with homemade specialty cream cheeses, amazing danish and muffins. I love this place and these people.

Know Better Coffee has absolutely nailed it with their new space — warm, welcoming, and full of local charm. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and creative, making it just as easy to catch up with friends as it is to settle in with a good book or laptop.
The coffee is consistently excellent — rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. You can tell they really know (and love!) what they’re doing. The staff are friendly and genuine, and the new setup feels like exactly what Mountain City needed: a fresh, modern space that still feels rooted in community.
If you haven’t stopped by since they opened the new space, it’s definitely worth a visit. ☕️

Went to the coffee shop on a cold day while visiting Mountain City. Ordered the pour over coffee and it was just what I needed to warm me up. The coffee was delicious and the people were absolutely wonderful. Will definitely visit again.

Update: we moved here and have enjoyed seeing this coffee shop expand into their nextdoor space! There’s plenty of seating and it’s a wonderful atmosphere. Tried the bagels for the first time and they are excellent. My husband and I met when we were both living in Manhattan so we are delighted to have Bronx bagels here!

This is a hidden GEM!! I LOVE this place so much!! I like GOOD and even EXCEPTIONAL coffee and this place has it! Know Better Coffee is a good play on words too bc you will “know” better coffee while suggesting there IS “no” better coffee! The KIVU Lake Peaberry is divine!! So deep and rich, couple w cream you are in heaven I also love their selection of very fine teas!! The ginger turmeric helps me w inflammation, and hydration, so does the Apple Pie Rooibos and Masala Chai!
This place is amazing I love their selection people who own the place as you can tell they are good, down to earth people. I’ll be ordering in bulk from here. I’ve started my collection already!

We had such a wonderful experience at Know Better Coffee in Virginia! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our visit even better.
My husband thoroughly enjoyed his coffee, and I absolutely loved my Wedgewood Lace it’s a creamy Pea Butterfly Tea – it was truly amazing! A charming touch was seeing the nice messages on the lids, which brought a smile to our face.
