It’s without a doubt one of the best family-owned BBQ restaurants in Kentucky. They still cook everything the same as when they first opened in the 70’s and have received recognition for their food many times over the years. Their food is great and the setting reminiscent of the 70’s in which they first opened.

I think I just died and went to fresh pork rind heaven! Seriously the best I have ever had. The barbecue is excellent and a fantastic value. A walk out back gives you a chance to see the meat being smoked mid-day in the smokehouse. The milkshakes are excellent and served in the stainless steel mixing cup. Authentic experience all around…

Very friendly staff and pretty good food but the star of the show? The hot BBQ sauce! Luckily they sell both, their mild and hot BBQ sauce by the bottle! Yep, that one is going home with me!

After reading all the raving reviews about how great the food was and the service being awesome… my experience was very lacking. Apparently we came in right at shift change. Our first waitress was welcoming, but after we got our food, we had zero service from her. Our second waitress was trying to get her day going, which I understand. I ordered a pork sandwich and the pork rinds. My husband ordered 2 pork sandwiches at first. (Hear me out on this, I do BBQ and smoked meats myself.) The pork was bland. It had sauce on it, but little to no flavor. My pork rinds had more flavor because they had salt on them. My husband ordered a hotdog as well, after he finished his pork sandwiches. I was not impressed, but it was edible. Just bland. Couldn’t try the beef, they were sold out. Prices were decent.

Nice country styled BBQ, smoked, and a variety of sauces. Choice of meats – Pulled pork butt, beef brisket, slaw, French fries, desserts. Excellent friendly service!!

This place is an absolute gem! The staff was so sweet and welcoming! The menu was reasonably priced and simple, which initially told me it should be great. I wasn’t wrong. The food is fantastic! I had the beef (brisket) sandwich with pork rinds as a side. My husband had a pork plate and my son had a triple cheeseburger (the patties are smallish). Everything was incredible. This northern girl really appreciated the pork rinds, which are house made. They’re way better than anything you might buy at a store. The beef practically melted in my mouth, while the sauces were all very flavorful and delicious. Exceptional! I would go out if my way to come back.

It was a very nice, quaint old restaurant/diner. Prices are low for hamburgers but the BBQ pork plate price is just shy of $9, which is average. The food is awesome though. The meat is great, the fries were crinkle cut frozen type (standard) the coleslaw seems homemade and is a yellow color, and quite sweet, which compliments the BBQ sauce very well. My only dig, was that i like pickles with my BBQ plate meals, and it came without any (I stole one from my wife’s hamburger, as can be seen in the photo) other than that, it’s definitely a great place to stop by. It’s seasonal too, so enjoy it while it’s open!

Great little BBQ place, absolutely no complaints. Does not have Brisket, but the pork with the dark sauce was very good.

I stopped for dinner and was disappointed to hear that the beef brisket sells out by lunch time every day! But the pork platter was outstanding! Great tender pork with a great taste, and the slaw was crunchy and tasty. Friendly staff and quick service.
