Good local diner. Good portion sizes. Everyone liked their food . The tea was good. The ketchup bottle had been refilled a million times. Either buy new ketchup regularly or get the red squirt bottles and be done with it. *edit* also, instead of that “homemade” steak sauce, get A1. I like A1 on my hamburger.

This is my follow-up review (as promised) to my first visit review. On my first visit, I came on a Sunday and their fantastic buffet was the only offering on that day (which we really enjoyed!). I am a chicken wing lover and asked if they offered my favorite delight on other days. I was entriged when they said they did and that they were worth a second visit. At the end of our three hour motorcycle journey, we stopped in on a Saturday to wet our whistles and fill our bellies. They had a good variety of beer and liquor to quench our thirst…but more importantly, they provided large, juicy, perfectly cooked chicken wings (in a fantastic bang bang sauce…not on the menu but definitely worth asking for) that filled our bellies. This review may sound like I’m biased to my new home…well that’s because I am! Good atmosphere, fast service, great food and drinks, and awesome people…what more do you need. Once again I highly recommend this Hartwell gem!!!!

Our first visit won’t be our last! Friendly, welcoming, efficient staff and the food was delicious. Don’t skip the REAL potato fries. The best I’ve had in years. And, you can enjoy a reasonably priced adult beverage with your meal!

I was searching for a restaurant with decent food and atmosphere. Wow…what I found was a hidden gem. From excellent service to awesome food, Knotheads did not disappoint. We came on Sunday and found a buffet with what looked like and tasted like home made food! Salad bar, two meet choices, chicken pot pie, lots-o-veggies, rolls, soup and several mouth watering desserts…great food at reasonable prices…holy cow I must be dreaming! And to top that off, our servers actually understood my humor (or lack there of according to some lol) and made the effort to spend time talking with us which made it an enjoyable meal. We are big chicken wing fans and are going to try theirs on a Friday in the near future….so stay tuned. Thank you Knotheads for being my new Friday hangout!

Absolutely fabulous. The inside may be a bit basic but the food is just spectacular. We have been here twice and loved it. The patty melt has been great both times as was the shrimp, and the cheese curds. And there is a salad bar. This alone keeps my husband coming back. Give it a shot. For the price you will be thrilled with your meal. I promise.

This was our first time at Knotheads. But it definitely won’t be our last. The meat on my patty melt was fantastic. Yeah, it’s not normal to brag about a patty melt but it was that good! The staff was great! Can’t wait to try something else on the menu!!

The most friendly server ever! Food was good also. Wife had a burger that was fresh meat, not frozen. The fried pickles were great! The French fries were fresh cut potatoes! Don’t judge it by the exterior or the name!

Food was really good. The French fries were pretty fantastic. Natural cut fries that are fried with just a little something extra so they are extra crispy. I have to admit I was a little surprised how good the food was, because from the outside the place doesn’t look like much. I’ll definitely come back. Food prices were average for bar food but quality was better than average.

The food was wonderful, and prices were very fair. Unfortunately, we were there on a Saturday evening when they had had two people quit on Friday and another on Saturday, so service was terrible. The remaining staff were very pleasant and accommodating, but my meal was delivered in a to-go box. The 4-star ranking is only because I hope the staffing issue was an exception, and I would like them to succeed.
