Stopped off at this tavern to get some grub before baseball. It definitely was old school themed inside and nice. If you like to drink they have a huge drink menu and draft selection. I got the smash burger special and it was very good. The fries were made to perfection and had perfect crisp. I was expecting a bigger menu but after talking to waitress she explained that the menu changes a couple times a year so it makes sense. They perfect on the items they have and change it up every so often for their customers! If you’re in the area check it out!

This place is a hin gem and if you’re traveling, this is definitely a place you should find on your destinations of places to eat! Their food is awesome. The atmosphere is awesome. They tried very hard to make sure we were seated right away where we wanted to be seated. Our waitress, Macie was very attentive to our food, knew their menu well, & to making sure things were getting to us quickly.

Very cool spot! Like the different vibe in the old time house. We sat in the bar area, didn’t know there was a dining room. Wouldn’t mind checking that out another time. There was some loud moments with some people at the bar but it happens. The staff was excellent! Very nice and attentive. Food was very good. Got the smash burger and the sauce on it was amazing! Would recommend if you need a quick spot to go in the altoona area.

I ordered the club sandwich and they found some gluten free bread in the back for me which was a 10/10. It was seriously delicious and our waiter was fantastic!

Used the back dining area for a company party. Some of the seating is cramped but was able to use corner table. Best service I have had in a long time. Food was amazing. Limited wine selection but they are a pub, so I was impressed with their selection. Has a chill vibe overall. I will definitely go back!!!

We loved our Cajun bowls for dinner on the patio. Service was great too. The only drawback was that for $18, I would expect enough food to leave me full, even just some more rice would go a long way.

One of the best places to go with your family or a few friends. From the exemplary food to the drink options, you will not be disappointed.

Having gotten to try the savory chicken and waffles, it was more than worth the price too. Would recommend this spot to anyone who’s visiting Altoona for the weekend. Parking can be a bit “cosy” in the lot though!

Very disappointed in my Pastrami Reuben. It was pathetic actually. $17.50 for it and some home made chips that were overdone. Barely any meat on my sandwich. Three pieces of Pastrami and 2 pieces of bacon. Two other people in my party and a nice burger and salad. But the Pastrami Reuben was a meatless waste of money. Surprised too, Bjorn the owner, usually takes pride in all the offerings on his menu. Much better deal is the Pittsburgh Reuben at Zach’s which I had last week. It’s only $13.69 and a TON of corned beef.

Great place to eat. Nora is an excellent server! The only issue I experienced was the beef used in the smash burgers, it had a funky taste and I only ate about 1/2 of that. The drinks and dessert of peanut butter pie was outstanding!!
