The food is great. Got the fried catfish and was surprised by how good it was coming from a mall restaurant. I also got the garlic mashed potatoes and mac and cheese as my sides and was also quite pleased with the taste.
Not only was the food good, but the service was great, too. Set me up real good with my sides. Khalil was really cheerful and extremely pleasant. I will definitely be coming back again

The food here is really delicious. I had the turkey wings and rice with Yams and kale. I also got an order of the fried green tomatoes. Everything was 10/10 as the social media people would say! The total for the meal was 33.39.

Ok so initially my review was not so good, I gave them a second chance because God forgives us. The food was good and the shrimp was very seasoned, the Mac and cheese was good, the kale and the dressing was different but not bad. The catfish was okay but that’s because I don’t like catfish y’all at all (I tried). Our girls loved the shrimp so much I came back to the mall and got them the shrimp and kale for dinner. My mom also loved the shrimp and kale as well. I highly recommend, I would just work on the customer service.

Super friendly staff and management. I had the whiting, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. I loved the fish ( 2 large pieces) and the garlic mashed potatoes, but the mac and cheese, although tasty was a little too spicy for me. That’s a me problem, not a them problem. I’m just a wuss with spice.

I had not seen many if any soul food spots in the area, and I had been craving some good greens and fish for awhile. Finally, when this place opened I had been hesitant to approach, given the location; however, I am aware of the migration happening from certain parts of the main city. After much deliberation I gave in to my curiosity and debilitating hunger, went on over and got myself fish, cornbread dressing and Gouda mac n cheese. The food already looked delicious, and to top it off they give you two fish. Whew! I accompanied the meal with some red velvet cake, which I will get to later.
The fried fish is amazing, decently seasoned, with a nice crunch. Depending on how big your stomach is, this could probably be enough to fill you up. The mac n cheese was just as tasty, and complimented the fish well. My favorite side is the cornbread dressing, and I think that’s what really got my stomach packed.
These people saw me again and I went ahead with the fish again, but with different sides: some sweet potatoes and greens. I did make a request to season the fish a bit more, not that they were not seasoned enough before, but I crave a bit more flavor. The sides were good. The greens will be something I may give a second chance after some time, but not something I can clammer over. The sweet potatoes were surprisingly good given I’ve never been easy to win over with that starch.
By the third visit, I knew I needed to make a different choice. This time, I got the wings. Unfortunately, these wings were not seasoned as well as I had hoped. They were fried just right, with a very crunchy exterior and a soft, off the bone interior. Just couldn’t get enough flavor from it.
For desserts, I’ve only had the red velvet and pecan pie. I love me some pecan pie, and this one was good enough. I’ve never been the biggest red velvet fan but this is actual red velvet cake here for those of you who are on the search for more than “It taste like chocolate.”

First let me say the guys are really cool so leaving this review wasnt easy. I expected this food to be BOMB!! It was not! Let’s start with the price $65 for two meals was insane in a mall but my husband doesn’t pay attention and he wanted to support a black owned business which agreed with him so we paid $65 plus a $5 tip. It took our food about 20 minutes which is expected when you make food fresh. I ordered the catfish the Mac and cheese and the Kale, my husband ordered fried chicken Mac and cheese and the garlic mashed potatoes. We left the mall and get to the car as we’re driving I decide to not wait for him and eat my food. The Mac and cheese was terrible had a weird taste to it. The kale was very dry i mean my tray was leaning and no juice spilled into the bag, the cat fish Salty as hell!! and I dont believe it was even catfish thats the smallest catfish I ever had looked more like Tilapia which I dont eat becauae ita not real fish. My bread or whatever that’s supposed to be was uncooked inside, So my husband, hearing me complain says taste my mash potatoes and tell me how they taste. And I did and those were terribly Bland and stiff and not hot.. This was a very upsetting meal and I would never eat here again as I can cook down and this just isn’t it. They need someone who can actually cook in their kitchen. Especially for those prices
