Harvey and Diana would like to welcome you to Kloesel’s Steakhouse, the perfect place to enjoy a great meal in a historic setting.
We serve only premium cuts of aged beef, which Harvey personally selects, cuts trims and cooks to perfection. We also serve a variety of pastas, seafood and chicken dishes. When you visit, don’t forget to check the board specials of the day. A homemade lunch plate special is served daily. We also have homemade pies, a variety of cheesecakes and other delicious desserts.

Kloesel’s Steakhouse & Bar never disappoints! The moment I walked in, the service was warm, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was on another level. Their chicken noodle soup is honestly one of the best I’ve ever tasted—rich, comforting, and packed with flavor.
But the real surprise was the Jack Daniel’s pecan pie. That dessert was out of this world—perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with that subtle Jack Daniel’s finish that takes it to another dimension.
If you’re anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and stop in. Exceptional food, great service, and a spot I’ll definitely be returning to.

We went for a very early dinner so there were not many people in the restaurant. Our waiter seemed somewhat put out when taking our order and was not engaged at all. We ordered an appetizer, fried pickles, that were brought out timely & were very good. The chicken noodle soup & bread were both very flavorful as was the ranch dressing for the salad. I ordered the top sirloin that was unfortunately cooked to a medium well instead of the medium I requested but it had good seasoning & the fries were very crispy. My husband had the chicken fried chicken & said it was good but he said the baked potato was a bit hard. After our entrees were brought out we did not see our server again, no drinks were refilled & we were not asked if we’d like dessert. When a different employee finally passed after at least 10 minutes of us sitting with finished plates, we just asked for the check. It was a disappointing experience especially since we were celebrating our anniversary.

Man o man! This place has THE most fantastic steak and asparagus! The Cajun crawfish fries and spring rolls are amazing! The atmosphere is very homey yet sophisticated. The service is IMPECCABLE and Mr. Harvey Kloesel personally talks to each guest and ensures their experience is nothing short of spectacular. Koen made sure our drinks were never empty, table never had trash or finished dishes, everything came out hot and fresh, and he was both friendly and knowledgeable.
The only downside I would have to say would be the price; HOWEVER, the price truly reflects the quality, freshness and overall experience. We’ll DEFINITELY be back. Who knew Moulton, Texas had such an amazing hidden gem?!

A historic restaurant in small town Texas. The family that owns it have been doing it for decades and really know what they are doing. I had the chicken fried steak and it was cooked perfectly. The green beans were exceptional. I would absolutely come back 🙂 Bonus picture of a rainbow and jack rabbit as I explored Molton after dinner.

Made the 1:20 drive from Katy and left full and satisfied. The drive was easy and good scenery, and the restaurant has a lot of charm and history. The soup was very good and unique, I added egg and bacon to my salad and glad I did. Ribeye had good flavor, it came out a little undercooked but was easily fixed, the baked potato was good with plenty of toppings. Daughter had the pasta with Alfredo, she didn’t really enjoy it. A friend had the prime rib, he thought it was salty but good, green beans were good especially those onions.
It wasn’t the best road trip steak but would definitely return!
Also, prices did seem a tad high.

Great food and service. They always have daily specials that have been tasty the few time I have been. Chicken fried steak was fried great with a nice peppery gravy. The fried pickles were good and the batter has a good spice on it. Certainly worth a stop if you are in the area!

Big historic steakhouse. We enjoyed everything beyond the steak too, including the chicken noodle soup, toasted bread, salad with spicy ranch, and green beans.
They have several dining rooms and an adjacent bar.
A historical marker in front of the building explains the history of the site.
They have a large free parking lot.

The New York Strip was incredible. Perfectly cooked and seasoned; it melted in my mouth.
We had an appetizer of fried pickles and there was the perfect pickle-to-breading ratio. Sandwich sliced pickles, not pickle chips. Huge plus there!
Would definitely eat there again if I come back in town!!

Definitely worth a stop off the beaten path. It is a amazing historical place with a quality fine dining experience. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. We were a large late table and they were very kind and hospitable. The kitchen did not slack off either being late. Everything was on point and delicious. Highly recommend and will return.

This place rocks! Simple as that. From the service to the atmosphere to the food, very exceptional! If you get a chance to try it out make sure you try the ribeye steak. Delicious!! It’s a steak house, prices are expected to be a bit higher so bring a couple extra bucks. You won’t regret it.
My name is John Michael and I approve this review!!! Blessings to you all!
