Ordered liver, onions, white beans, cabbage, fried and baked chicken, green beans and cornbread. EVERYTHING needed seasoning. Soul food has at least salt and pepper or season salt…SOMETHING. OK maybe we visited on a day when everything was not perfect. I think this place is for older people, and that is fine. If you are looking for flavor, you may want to look around.

Old time southern charm abounds in this soul food/southern diner restaurant that features fried chicken and ribs as Mainstays. The fried chicken was definitely good but the restaurant s version of a hush puppy was oddly flavored. Iced tea was not particularly flavorful either. Veggie sides are a definite plus with green beans, greens, Mac and cheese and more included in the platter price. Monday and Tuesday feature a senior discount of 10 percent as well

I’ve been eating Kleer-Vu for over 30 years. My mother absolutely loved the food here. Hot water cornbread is a must. Chicken, Mac and cheese, dressing. This place is always packed.

The food is amazing and the staff is very nice and pleasant. I travel to Murfreesboro from Mount Juliet a couple times a month just to get lunch or dinner from Kleer-Vu.
