Really loved the food we purchased. My favorite by far was the shrimp poboy sandwich. It was so good and the sauce was poppin. A must try! We also had the fried lobster tail and the ramen noodle, shrimp sausage boill and Madi Gras Lemonade. Will definitely be going back to try more items. We drove an hour to this place and we were not disappointed.

The food was excellent, the lady taking order was super nice and sweet. They work well as a group, the food was the bomb hunny. My kids love seafood and they smashed. We will be back trust and believe that. We got 1lb of the seafood Cajun boil and seafood fries.

Ms. Iesha is a true gift!! Her welcoming smile, courteous and professional demeanor, and the light in her eyes as she described the various, sumptuous menu items made the visit well worth it! The Creole flair and generous portions at reasonable prices ensures we WILL be returning here again soon!! Joy is also a sweetheart. Her speed and efficiency in preparing our order was phenomenal. This hidden gem in Avondale is bringing a much needed alternative to typical seafood boil. The Bearcat boil for the non-seafood connesoir is a definite Hit!!

Support BLACK OWNED Business people! The service was quick and professional, and don’t let me start on the food! It was not too salty or dry and the portions were just right! It was so damn delicious, I ate the food before I could post. Just FYI once you order they are going to ask that you stand outside as a COVID courtesy.

Make sure to read the menu if you’re a returning customer. I ordered a crab boil and didn’t know it no longer comes with shrimp, sausage, & egg. When I called to see if the situation could be rectified in anyway I was told that it couldn’t because it’s posted on their menu and online. As a long time customer of them since they were in Clifton so I didn’t need to look at their menu and I don’t order online. I wish something anything could have been done but oh well I’ll just find a different place to go to from now on. Just again make sure you read the menu!!

Tried calling to place an order but was rushed off the phone and told to order online. Did that and was given the wrong order which mind you was cold as if it was sitting on the counter all day waiting for somebody to order it so they could get rid of it. Went back to get the right order and that once again was the same as the wrong order: cold, soggy, and included small bready pieces of fish. So much for a made upon request restaurant.
Had another issue in the summer where they did not include my crab in an order and they refused to give me a refund and only a restaurant credit.
Tried giving them a second chance but they prove time and time again to not give their 100% to every customer who gives them their money.

We grabbed takeout from K&J Seafood’s new location. Having already been familiar with the shrimp poboy, this time we opted for the catfish version.
Somehow, it was even better.
Griddle toasted bun (a change from our last foray, which was a fluffy hoagie), the batter was spicier, the flavors were richer.
This may have shaved a year off of my life due to all of the oil and flavor elements. But it’s also evidence that K&J know what they’re doing with seafood. Great stuff.

I loooove seafood so I was very happy to hear this place opened up. I had the seafood fries and they are the bomb! It has a tasty cheese sauce, crab, shrimp and bacon.
Update: I will say they have changed over the years, and they have moved to a new location, depending on who you get on the phone you might get someone that has an attitude, the last time I tried to call and make a order the girl just hung up right in my face, after I said thank you.
