Wonderful Japanese place for many, many reasons!
First of all, our server, Jennifer, was really nice and helped us a lot. She recommended some excellent items that we loved.
Secondly, we had the Chicken Katsu Curry, the Rainbow Roll and the Tokyo Joe Roll, and all 3 items were delicious! The sushi rolls were large and without too much rice (had just the right amount). All the fish was fresh and served at a good temperature. The Chicken Katsu was not overly breaded (well balanced), and was not salty or oily. The curry had the perfect level of mild spiciness for us.
Thirdly, the kind of variety of Japanese items they have here is very broad. Sushi, Sashimi, hand rolls, baked rolls, Teriyaki, Japanese curries, Bento boxes, and other items that you don’t often get all in one place.
We’ll look forward to going back soon.

Nice sushi prep with good ingredients. I had the tiger roll (shrimp on top, crab and avocado inside) and it was quite tasty and nicely compact. My companion had the super Philly and enjoyed it, though it has a larger roll and a bit harder to eat.
Small restaurant with small outdoor seating area. Clean, well maintained, minimalist interior. Table and booth seating. Parking lot has plenty of spaces and is wheelchair accessible.

Great food, especially the sushi. Everything tasted fresh, and I liked the unusual flavor combinations. The place is quite simple, but the staff is very kind and attentive.

Been living here for 30 years and hands down one of the best chicken katsu curry’s I’ve had even comparing to ones i’ve had in Japan. The katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the curry was rich, savory, and comforting without being too heavy. Portion size was generous and everything tasted incredibly fresh. This alone is worth coming back for.

Open till 9 PM, very clean super nice and Hella good…. The menu is packed with really cool options for sushi, and the fish was fresh and delicious. We ordered a quick dinner and ordered a few rolls enjoyed everything, but most importantly the people you’re working are super nice.

The most authentic Japanese curry I’ve ever had in the U.S.! Made us miss our vacation in Osaka the curry is addicting, and the salad and sides that come with it complimented the meal so well. You have to order using a QR code, and the wait can be a little long, but it was so worth it! Would love to come back again!

I went to a Japanese restaurant with my friends today. It had been two years since I last ate sushi, so I decided to gather some friends and go out to eat. We ended up finding this restaurant, and it was amazing. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the dishes are served very quickly.

RIP to the best Japanese curry in the Bay. Apparently, the owners of Kizuna have retired and what used to be the best non-sushi Japanese restaurant in the Bay has turned into a very generic American-Japanese restaurant.
I came last week to revisit one of my favorite restaurants only to find the place has changed ownership and now run by Koreans who have a very generic menu.
The new staff is very nice, and they’ve freshened up the place but what made Kizuna great is now gone. The curry has a bit of a sweet and sour after-flavor and tastes like what I can make using one of the roux boxes available at Ranch 99 and the chicken was thin and overly crispy. The agedashi tofu was decent but nothing to phone home about.
I really miss the original curry that came with thick, juicy pieces of meat and rich, dark curry that’s flavorful and complex. The old curry tasted homemade; not it tastes like it’s made from boxed roux.
So sad; this was the best Japanese curry in the US and now I don’t know where to get the authentic flavor when I’m not in Japan. Kizuna is now just another generic sushi-based Japanese restaurant catered to Americans. I hope it gets better but I won’t be back.

Semi self service. Not a large restaurant, limited tables. For the price, the food was okay. The fried pork was a bit on the greasy side. The teriyaki beef was pretty good. The dine in paper plates and plastic containers were not my preference either.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night after some rock climbing. Luckily we put our name down right before a bunch of groups came and we got seated in a few minutes. Otherwise it was looking to be at least a 20 min wait. Ordering was through your phone. You also pay on your phone. Water is self serve. Food comes out on disposable plates. So turn around for tables can be pretty quick! They have their system nailed down. All the food came out quickly and it was all delicious. But oh my god the pork katsu. That first bite was heavenly and I will have to order it every single time! We all got a variety from karage to chicken katsu but the pork…always pork from now on. It was tender and just melted in my mouth. And the fry was perfectly crispy. I can’t wait to come back!
