The ambiance is fantastic—very authentic and inviting—and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal.
The Food & Drink
• Spicy Ramen: This was the highlight of the night. The heat level and broth depth were excellent. Highly recommended if you enjoy a kick.
• Chicken Bao Buns: Very tasty! The buns were soft, and the chicken was well-seasoned. A solid choice for an appetizer.
• Hot Sake: Served at the perfect temperature and paired wonderfully with the meal.
• Chicken Karaage Bowl: This was just “alright” for me. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t quite hit the high marks of the ramen or the bao buns.
Overall: A great spot for a night out in Plano. I’ll definitely be back for the ramen and the atmosphere!

Disclaimer this was our experience and our experience only it also our opinions based on our experience. We allways want people to try things for themselves and make their own informed decisions. This is solely based on our experience.

Was excited to try this place out after seeing a recent interview about the place. Sadly the excitement of Japanese ramen spot with house made broth and friendly service quickly diminished.

Walking in the sticky floors caught my attention. After a few mins in an otherwise empty restaurant we were greeted by a staff member she was about as welcoming as a bag of rocks in museum no smile welcome in nothing.
As we walked on more sticky floors over to our seats we sat down and looked around for a moment it was clear that the care in this restaurant was non existent
.Dirty floors filled with food wrappers and crumbs and food swept under tables.
This was not one table but all of them. The window sills filled with what had to be months of dirt was quite the site. It was clear the care for the restaurant was non existent.
We looked at the menus. After 10 minutes our waitress came. Again not a smile hi my name is so and so a welcome in nothing. She dropped waters off and attempted to scurry off when we asked if we could order something she said with a sigh sure. We ordered an appetizer chicken karrage as I was about to order something else she ran away. 12-14 mins later the karage came out mind you the restaurant was empty. The flavor was decent but the karage was chewy and full of tendon. A I’ll prepped chicken thigh.
The server returned and we ordered 3 bowls Hakata Ramen Garlic ramen and miso ramen. After another 10 mins or so our bowls came out. Presentation looked decent but that’s where it ended.
The chasu the chasu was in edible chewy super thin looked like shoe leather. Sadly it was this way on all bowls so it was not a one off sad.
egg only came on one bowl the garlic. All thought the inside was cooked correctly the egg was not marinated at all and had zero flavor I think I read this was supposed to be a famous egg . Sad.

The broth. Tastes can be subjective when it comes to ramen but as people with quite a bit of ramen experience this was our take

The garlic. It had very little essence of a good tonkotsu and was mostly flavors of garlic powder soy and mirin the crispy garlic was a nice touch for us it was a 5out of 10

Hakata Ramen very sweet way to much mirin very little if any creamy tonkotsu very one note. flavor 5out of 10

Miso Ramen absolutely un edible it was a bowl of salt like someone took straight
Miso paste filled the bowl added a hint of broth and water and sent it out. The corn garnish on it was nothing more then canned corn with no preparation sad
0-10

This place needs some serious attention from its owners and chefs. Start with cleaning the front of house and some friendly staff then work on the bowls. Overall very disappointing experience.

I had an amazing experience here! The place was clean, efficient, and super welcoming from the moment I walked in. Michael went above and beyond—he was incredibly courteous, professional, and made sure every part of the process was smooth and stress-free. His attention to detail and friendly attitude truly made this one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone!

The Ramen is on point. Love the Sugimoto cold matcha green tea. My gyoza was a little on the over done side but still tasty. Great service. Everyone was very attentive.

Really good ambiance at Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya!
I had the Yuzu Shio Ramen (substituted tofu for pork) and Vegetarian Ramen, with sides of Gyoza and Vegetable Harumaki. Out of all four, the Vegetable Harumaki was definitely the standout — super delicious!

The Yuzu Shio Ramen was excellent as always, with a nice yuzu flavor. The broth was slightly less salty than expected, but a little shoyu fixed it perfectly. My only complaint was the tofu — it was just plain and bland, simply cut and placed on top without any seasoning or pan-frying.

The Vegetarian Ramen was decent and slightly above average — the only odd thing was it had noticeably less soup than usual, but otherwise tasted good.

The Gyoza, unfortunately, was disappointing — $8 for 5 small pieces (with one broken) wasn’t worth it. The taste was just okay; honestly, frozen ones from Trader Joe’s have been much better.

One odd thing, maybe it was a mistake or maybe they do with regularly but before I finished my ramen they came to table with payment machine asking to pay, I had to tell her to let me finish first but it was super weird as there were only 2 tables full rest all empty so what’s the rush that took during lunch time.

All four dishes with tip came to about $60, which wasn’t bad at all for the overall experience.

Would definitely come back for the ramen and atmosphere, but might skip the gyoza next time

A promising ramen shop with fantastic broths and noodles but with a few hiccups! The broths were exceptionally flavorful, and the noodles were chewy and delicious. I recommend the Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen.

The gyoza were a highlight for me. They had a thin wrap and were crispy on the bottom and soft and tender on top, which I liked. If you are looking for full deep fried dumplings though, this won’t be for you.

In the ramen, their egg was very slightly overcooked but not to the point of detriment. On the other hand, the chashu was a little disappointing. It wasn’t really tender or flavorful like chashu can be, and was the definite lowlight of the ramen. The broth was great.

Still an overall great experience though! The service is exceptional as well.

I love the place and the food, but there’s a major issue
the exhaust fan doesn’t work, and the entire place smells terrible, full of smoke and a very strong odor. You leave the restaurant completely smoked out, and the smell stays on your clothes for days. I really hope you can fix it soon, since this problem has been going on for months. I usually go once a week, but if it continues, I’ll have to stop going.

I had such a wonderful experience here! I came in around 3:30 and ordered the Chicken Rich Ramen, which ended up being one of the best bowls I have ever had. The broth was incredibly flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, the egg was rich and velvety, and the bamboo had the perfect texture. Every element in the bowl felt intentional and delicious.

Chef Lynnzee did a beautiful job crafting the flavors in my broth, and the heated intensity of my companions complex spicy broth was absolutely spot on. You can really taste the care and skill in every bite.

Michael also went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. He checked on us several times and made sure we were truly enjoying our food. His kindness and attentiveness made the entire visit even better.

Highly recommend, I will definitely be back!

Honestly I’ve liked this place for a long time, but the past few times the food just hasn’t been worth the price and I’m done giving it chances. Paying $6 for extra eggs just for them to be hard boiled and not marinated through, and the broth consistently having an inch of liquid fat at the top, it’s not worth $20 a bowl (and it’s $20 a bowl before add ons, with my add ons, it’s $26 plus an extra $4 for broth with a bunch of fat)
