Simply delicious with graceful service. It can be on the high end side but it worthwhile. Simple, great quality, freshness, and well presented. decor is simple but elegant with a touch of Japan feeling. We love the sake presentation, but of course you have to get a good one in order to get the service. Just love it.

The food is good but the service is exceptionally bad, or you can expect no service at all. If customers are allowed in the kitchen, they would probably want you to go get the food yourself. They asked if you want any drink, then never served the drink you asked for, not even water. Be prepared to ask multiple times. You would probably think it’s because the place is busy but they had 3 waiters when I went and most of the tables were empty as can see in my picture. Each probably just got 2 tables top to serve yet they all looked like it was insanely busy and unhappy. It’s not a place worth dining in. Food is good especially the chirachi bowl so might be better to just take out

This is one of my to-go place for sushi. Especially I love their chirashi. Since we moved to Oklahoma where there is no good sushi place (their rice is really bad that I have to take my own microwave rice to AYCE restaurant), so I’ve been dreaming of Kiyo sushi’s chirashi. As my husband wanted to have In-N-Out for lunch (No In-N-Out in Oklahoma either), I ordered chirashi to go. They packed me a nice to-go bag with their own ice pack! Such a nice consideration as I had to keep it in the car while visiting a friend. (The restaurant didn’t know that)
Their slices of sashimi are so thick and fresh. The best! Highly recommended.

Fresh sashimi and sushi. One of the best Uni (Sea Urchin) I ever had recently. Fun to drink Sake out of their special dispenser. Great place to be with your friends and family in Irvine, CA. Very friendly staff and fast service.

this restaurant is amazing!! my expectations were blown away by the quality, freshness, and overall taste of the dishes. the chefs are super nice and friendly and came out with amazing dishes with 11/10 presentation for each one. this is definitely one of the best sushi restaurants i’ve ever had and will 100% be coming back!

Our yearly company dinner just got perfected. The every menu we ate was perfectly done. Extremely difficult to find a table if you come here between 6 and 8. You have to come here 15 min before it opens. Suntory beer is something you must try. The food quality is top notch. The menu seems pricey, but you get the quality plus quantity. You have come try for yourself.

Clearly they don’t have enough server to cover the shift. I was standing at the door for a while before the sushi chef waved his hands at me and let me sat at the bar. There were no cutlery or plates at my seat so I have to grab them from a empty seat next to me.The fish was ok but the uni was definitely not fresh enough,it had a smell when you tasted it. Meanwhile,I asked for hot tea, they didn’t put in order. Ended up not even serving me water. However, they were moving fast when they handed me the bill and swiped my card though. Not coming back.

Another incredible experience with this place — I decided to have my birthday dinner at Kiyo this year, and this place is simply one of the best Japanese sushi restaurants in the area! This was the 3rd time coming here, but also the very first time dining in due to covid. The service is top notched , and the ambiance is great (the bar tables aren’t open still).
Food is impressive as usual! Sweet shrimps were still moving when severed to us; and our must-order Uni-don was heavenly as always; and we tired their deluxe chirashi bowl this time, it was good, not impressive (since we ordered Uni don) but still very fresh and the portion was definitely worth the price.
In short: I will always rate this place an A or A+ and recommend to every sushi lovers!

You know a Sushi place is good when there’s a ton of Japanese people waiting outside for the place to open.

I was lucky to get a seat without waiting. The place filled up. I ordered Gyoza, and the teriyaki chicken lunch special with spicy tuna roll. Everything was delicious. Sitting at the sushi bar, I got to watch the chefs in action. I definitely want to return to try all the sushi and sashimi options.

A very busy place at most of the time. Be patient and only come here when you’re not in rush. The place is clean and staffs were friendly.

All the dishes were well presented and absolutely delicious with very high quality ingredients. Of course it’s expensive but like people always said: You got for what you paid for. Will definitely come back for more
