The experience at this establishment was a total failure of professional conduct and basic kitchen safety. As a customer who values respect and the truth, I am documenting the following physical receipts:
Public Health Hazard: The most concerning issue was the food quality. After waiting over an hour, the breaded fish served to me was undercooked and raw in the middle. Serving raw seafood is a major safety violation that puts the health of customers at risk.
”First-In, Last-Out” Service: I arrived and placed my takeout order at 4:53 PM. Despite being one of the first people in the building to order, I watched as multiple later parties were seated, served their full meals, and finished before I finally received my food at 5:50 PM. Being deprioritized while others are served is a blatant lack of respect for a paying customer.
Unprofessional Conduct: It is unacceptable for staff to be heard openly complaining about the basic tasks of their job, such as preparing white rice. Every person who enters a business should be met with a pleasant atmosphere, not staff hostility.
Poor Value for Top Dollar: For a $40 bill, the portions were insufficient and the quality was poor. The meal consisted of small, undercooked pieces of fish and only four spears of asparagus. The “Crab Fries” were brought out as a distraction but were served cold.
Refusal of “Re-Warming”: When I pointed out the food was cold, the staff offered to take it back to the kitchen. After waiting nearly an hour already, I refused to give them any more of my time. I should not have to wait two hours for a basic meal.
The Verdict: Do not risk your health or your resources here. This establishment lacks the organization and the respect required to serve the community properly.

If you love fries it’s a great place. The crab fries (first batch was dumped on table by waitress) were lacking . The stuffed mushrooms were okay. The boom boom shrimp basket was not good . That’s just what I had. They were not busy yet our waitress managed to come around about every 10 to fifteen minutes. These are just my observations. Feel free to make your choice and I hope your visit is better. Oh on a good note they make s great bloody Mary.

I’m not in Martinsburg often, so I did a quick restaurant search and landed on this spot with some glowing reviews. My mom, who’s a very picky eater and basically only eats seafood, tagged along—so I figured, why not? I had zero expectations walking in.

It’s tucked just off the main road and looks pretty average from the outside, but once inside—wow. Cozy tavern vibes and cute fall décor set the mood.

We started with the calamari, which was cooked perfectly—not rubbery, not chewy, just right. A little too salty for my mom’s delicate taste buds but I was like more for me!

Then came the cream of crab soup and holy crab claws—it was amazing! Creamy, rich, and tasted like a lobster bisque’s fancier cousin.

We both ordered the crab cakes (they were on special), and let me tell you, I was not ready for how good they were. Virtually no filler—just pure, perfectly cooked crab goodness. The sides were just okay (fries and slaw for me, baked potato for Mom) so next time I might go for a salad.

Now for the dessert drama. I didn’t see the dessert tray but randomly picked the peanut butter pie to go for my husband. When I got home, I told him to save me a bite… big mistake. HUGE. It was incredible—creamy, flavorful, and way too good to share.

I might not get to Martinsburg often but you can bet I’ll be back. If you love seafood and desserts, this place is a must.

This place was amazing!!! We had a party of thirty and our servers Destiny and Jasmin did a wonderful job! Not one person in our party had a issue with their order. The food was delicious, and the restaurant is clean! I honest have nothing but good to say about this place. We will definitely be back again

My family came on a Friday night at 7pm. We ordered the chicken tenders, fish tacos, fish and chips, crab soup and the calamari. Everything was delicious! The chicken tenders were tenderin’, the haddock was crispy on the outside and the right kind of perfection on the inside. The crab soup was the best I’ve tasted. I wouldn’t say I’m a connoisseur but I’ve tasted some crab soup at the best seafood places. The atmosphere was like sitting down at your aunties restaurant with the warm and cozy feel of home and home cooking made with love. We will be back and if you like good food, you will find yourself at one of their tables soon as well.

I had to come and leave a review about what spectacular service we had with Jordyn for brunch on Friday. She was probably the nicest server I have ever had the pleasure of having. She was friendly, explained any questions we had about menu items. She truly had the most amazing attitude. She didn’t just treat this as a job, she generally cared about how our experience was. When we go back we will be requesting her as our server again! If you go to Kitzies make sure you request Jordyn as your server you won’t be disappointed!

Food was very, very good. Atmosphere, too. Was a bit slow on service but there was just one server on staff during the start of our visit. Unsure why. Pic is of a crazy good French Onion soup.

Legitimately, this is the gem of Martinsburg , and that is 1000% not an ironic statement. I never rate 5 stars, but Kitzie’s is so amazing. Fantastic cocktail selection, crab dib that leaves you craving more, best steak and fried haddock that I’ve had in years. Jessica was my waitress and she was so spectacular: charismatic and charming. The atmosphere was peak, it gives you the feeling of going home to your parents house but your parents happen to be chefs with a Michelin star or two. Seriously, if you are in Martinsburg, WV COME TO KITZIE’S. The staff is so accommodating and beyond friendly.
