Got the smothered chicken with collard greens and candied yams. Also got the teriyaki salmon with smothered cheese potatoes and mac n cheese. Both orders came with sweet cornbread. The salmon was very good along with the smothered potatoes. Mac n cheese was bland but I’m not a Mac n cheese person so it may be good to others. Collard greens were well seasoned and the candied yams tasted like how my Granny use to make hers. Smothered chicken was also seasoned good. Overall, I liked it. A bit pricey but if you craving good soul food try it out. No dine in and ordered on line from their website. Process was easy but they may want to setup notification when food is ready. The location was easy to find and staff was very friendly!

The Greens were very good! And So was the cornbread, my candied yams were just horrible. Burnt, I originally thought the darkness came from the sugar being cooked. But no it was like bottom of the pan burnt. My fried pork chop was a soggy mess!! Yet dry, the pork chop itself was dry as if it had been sitting under a warmer.

1st order was fried pork chop with mac and collards.
The pork chop was fried nicely and not over seasoned. The mac and collards were good too.
2nd order fried catfish with corn and yams.
The cat fish was amazing. It was season right and not over cooked.
The corn for me wasn’t the best just missing some seasoning, but its corn. The yams were great.
The corn bread caught me off graud. It’s a sweet corn bread. Not my thing, but was great and not dry.
Suggest maybe offer a choice between dinner roll or corn bread. Overall it was on poin.

Prices are lower if you order online rather than the kiosk at the location. I’m glad I checked our food before we left bc I got corn instead of the collards I requested. I had 3 piece dark chicken w Mac and collards. The collards were pretty good. The chicken was very bland, maybe it was just seasoned with salt & pepper but it didn’t get ate. My cornbread was a waste, it was so sweet. The Mac was ok. Overall definitely not worth the $20 I paid for it. My son got catfish, fries & corn. The fish and fries got ate. His corn & cornbread was trashed. I definitely wouldn’t pay $22 for it again. Probably will not return.

My first time eating here. I had fried chicken ,greens, Mac and cheese and a side of the smothered potatoes. I couldn’t decide. The flavor of the chicken was perfect. The greens took me home they were so good
Mac and cheese was dried out but I did order later in day. Smothered potatoes are def yummy comfort food. I look forward to eating here alot more.

I will definitely be eating again! This food was soooooo good. Greens chicken and fish and Mac and cheese and yams . I felt like my grandma put this plate together ! Y’all got yourselves a new customer for sure and I’m definitely recommending to everyone I know! Not only was the food good the service was amazing! I used to live in St. Louis for 14 years and when I say I met some excellent cooks who make slammin’ soul food. Kitchen 314 transplanted me right back to St. Louis but via Dallas. This food makes me feel like I’m at Sweetie Pies in the Lou, or at my auntie Monica’s house in Swansea, Il. This food will have you speaking in tongues, I ain’t playing, y’all better go get you some! Mac’n’cheese had me closing my eyes and saying sweet nothings to myself, and the greens almost made me pass out just delicious(get ya smelling salts cause you gone pass out, that’s how good it is). I pretty much inhaled my smothered pork chops, yep. Don’t eem’ think I took a bite, just dang near swallowedem’ whole. That’s how juicy, tenda’, and delicious they were. I don’t have a picture cause it’s in my belly, period-ah-period-uh!! Let the church say..#Amen
