I ordered a chicken pesto pizza. It was made fresh to order and VERY FLAVORFUL. Our waitress was attentive and thoughtful, ensure the pizza was baked to my preference.
At the end, you can leave a note about your experience there in an old book written in the 1960’s. There are tons of signatures and I had to find space to write lol. It was a neat touch.
Overall, I would definitely stop by anytime I’m in the area. It’s a pleasant dining experience, just remember bring your wallet if you’re not dining alone!
The atmosphere initially seemed very promising: a light-colored interior and a very cute souvenir shop attached to the restaurant.
We went into the dining area and chose a table we liked. We ordered drinks right away, but they were brought to us only after 20 minutes. The restaurant was almost empty at 2 p.m. on a Sunday, and our drinks were just ice, sparkling water, and syrup.
The food also took a long time to arrive, especially considering how empty the restaurant was.
We found a hair in our mushroom toast. Thankfully, it was not human — it was short and white, resembling animal hair.
After we finished the appetizers and our main courses were brought out, the server took our dirty cutlery and forgot to bring us clean ones. I had to get up and ask for new utensils myself.
I also ordered a pistachio white chocolate latte, and when I tried it, there was no pistachio flavor at all. We asked for it to be fixed, and when the drink was returned, the flavor was finally there. However, the drink didn’t match the photo shown in the menu.
Whenever we needed something, the servers avoided eye contact, and we had to wait until someone eventually came over.
When we left a tip — smaller than we usually give because the service completely ruined our experience — the server behaved rudely, raised her voice, and said, “This is my TIPPPP????”
I honestly don’t understand what we were expected to leave a larger tip for.
Overall, the restaurant has a very misleading image. It is disappointing that we wasted our time dealing with rude and indifferent service.
We tried the ribeye and trout with the mashed potatoes and risotto and everything was delicious! For dessert we had the creme brulee, caramel ice cream and fruit cobbler and it was very fresh and well prepared! The creme brulee was silky and flavorful.
We will definitely come back again when we are in the area!
Unfortunately both of the girls with me who ordered chicken were unhappy with their meal. One commented “2 wings and a thigh for this price is ridiculous”.
