Went here because I’ve heard so much about it. As someone who lived in Louisiana for most of my years, I came in with high hopes. They didn’t disappoint. I ordered their hottest tenders and they were good. Heavy on the pepper taste, but was still very pleased! I also got the hush puppies and fries and both were great! The price wasn’t bad either. For a little chicken place in downtown JC, it’s definitely a place I’d recommend and I’ll be coming back to try other flavors!

Fun yummy restaurant. It does give off bar vibes but we went during the day and sit on the patio. So fun! So much gluten free food! They have gluten free fried chicken tenders and gluten free fried pickles! So good!

Came here very frequently when it was still Voodoo Chicken. There’s been a shift in ownership / management. Everything that I enjoyed from the old menu is unfortunately not there anymore. The spice for the tenders and the sides I once had are gone. I had the wings and I really wanted something spicy but that isn’t available. I understand shifting a restaurant can be difficult so I hope I can come back and they bring back what once had me hooked cause it just taste like quick bar food.

Very delicious chicken. Deceptively flavorful. Very good crisp on the outside and the inside is juicy. Super spicy, ton of flavor in the pickles and greens. Taste as good as Rocky’s in Asheville and half the distance away. Lady who took my order was super sweet.

Gluten Free? This is the place in Johnson City! I had the fried chicken tenders and fried pickles. Fresh, hot, delicious. The bbq sauce was not good, but the ranch was very good.

Amazing GF selection. The chicken was crispy, tender and juicy. I had the fried pickles and hush puppies, both were delicious. If you need GF this is the place for you.

I have moved away from TN when this was Voodoo Chicken. It was a must to go when I came into town. Yesterday I went to the kitchen. I was very disappointed in the changes. The wings were like other places not the great crispy fried chicken it used to be. All the great choices Voodoo had were gone. I do wish the new owners would bring back some of Voodoos recipes. I have no plans of ever going back unless there are changes.

LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS RESTAURANT!!!!! They offer so many gluten free options and as a gluten intolerant person, Voodoo Chicken is literally a dream come true! I had all GF – jumbo tenders, wedges, biscuits, and jalapeño cornbread and it was all sooooo good! I met the owner and he was so kind and knowledgeable. I can’t wait to go back again! 1000/10 experience!!!

Jeff’s food never disappoints! The tempura broccolini and okra were amazing. You can’t go wrong with his Mac and cheese, weather it’s the classic Mac or the fried Mac. The cheerwine BBQ sauce was my personal favorite!
