If you have the opportunity to sit at the bar when Jamie is working, you are in for a treat. Friendly, informative, and great service. We felt well taken care of. He noticed that I had a card and asked if we were celebrating something (my birthday). The Italian Donuts made a surprise appearance at the end of our meal.
I would rate -.5 stars if I could, because the Cask Prosecco is room temperature. If it were chilled or even cold, it would be so much better. But after trying it on two separate visits, it was the same. Also, on my second visit, the jasmine rice was soaked with the juice from my duck breast, so I couldn’t eat half of it.
The pork belly slider was tiny for $9, especially compared to the large fried chicken slider that is $10 and outsizes the bun on all sides. Skip Shirley’s Naughty Cousin drink; it was underwhelming. I would have rather had a regular Shirley Temple.
Make sure to make a reservation, as seating at the bar is limited, and the single community table in the bar is a tight squeeze. Overall, the bar area is fairly loud, so expect your conversation to compete with the noise.

First timers here for happy hour and stayed for dinner. Excellent scratch-made food and coctails in a place that reminds me of a larger speakeasy. Onion rings are huge, smoked whole wings, pork shank, brocolini. Unique menu and has seasonal menu as well. You typically don’t see vieux carre on cocktail list at other places but they have here! Fine dinnerware like you’re eating at grandmas. Victor, the owner, came by to chat to make sure everything was well!

We had a 6pm reservation, and since we arrived on the early side, we didn’t run into any of the “slow service” issues mentioned in other reviews. Everything came out pretty smoothly.
The food was solid overall. The truffle fries were honestly the best dressing I’ve ever had — 9.5/10.
Fried pickles were just average — about a 6/10.
The seasonal pork shank was around 8/10 and definitely something to share with a friend. The only odd thing was that both the pork shank and the pasta felt a bit lukewarm, almost like they had been prepped early and cooled down.
The cake, though? Extremely good. 10/10, instant sugar high.
The space is beautiful, but without a reservation the wait can easily be an hour. Very pricy though, worth a try if you are in the area.

This is long overdue. My friend and I visited Kitchen and Rail for breakfast. I could not believe how amazing the food was, even the mimosas were outstanding. I loved the ambience and even the dishware. I keep on telling friends they have to visit. The food quality, the service, the place. I am excited to bring my family here. Well done!

Our experience here was mixed. We visited on a Saturday at suppertime. The food was spectacular–out fast and delicious. Our service, however, was shoddy. Our server was incredibly harried, always out of breath and abrupt as she infrequently checked on us, and we were never asked if we wanted more drinks. We speculated that she had too many tables to manage and was just having a rough night.
But onto the positive aspect: the food! We shared Kitchen and Rail’s famous meatballs as an appetizer. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, the sauce thick and savory. My husband had the Vietnamese Pork Belly, which he found delicious and pleasantly spicy, while I had the perfectly cooked Pan Seared Duck. The amount of food was great, too, filling without being overkill.
We’re not sure if we would come here again, as there are several other restaurants in the immediate area that look interesting. I’m glad we got to try the food, though.

Quite bar and grill with better then average food and drinks. The price is also higher than the average bar and grill. Quality and details are reflected in the price. Decor is different, from vintage to a pink buffalo. Not natural but hair spray or spray paint.

Prices are ridiculous for miniscule sized portions. Two almost bite size fillets of blackened roughy and they forgot the “medley” of veggies. Didn’t realize it at the time. Fair amount of beef stroganoff but dry with hardly enough gravy. Salads were good. One of the most expensive long islands I’ve had anywhere. Great waitress and decor. But if you’re hungry, go elsewhere. $113 with tip, tax, and cc charge. Com’ on!!

Have came in multiple times and for good reason. The staff is very attentive and the food was spectacular looking as well as tasting. Our server, Samantha was just great. Very personable and friendly she gave us good recommendations and made us feel welcomed. We had the Joe Mac and the poke bowl off of the spring seasonal menu. The Joe Mac was very tasty and a good size for the price point. The poke bowl was excellent and very filling. As to drink, the toes in the sand was on point. Came out looking great and tasted even better.
In all this has become a favorite among my wife and kids for our nights out and we can’t wait to come back again!

This is a fan favorite of my family and friends local to Eagan! Don’t let the fact that it’s in a strip mall scare you. It is an amazing restaurant! I love that their food is made from scratch and some of the recipes are generationally passed down! Delicious food, wonderful staff. I also appreciate that the wine is always fresh and not stale because they use one of those special dispensing systems. I appreciate how easy it is to park and that we have a foodie restaurant here in Eagan!!!
