Love coming out here in the fall. The bar is still open and not crowded. It’s a nice walk/bike ride from Robert Moses passed the Fire Island lighthouse.

Seems like Kismet Inn has been around forever. Remember coming here as a teen back in early 80’s and having some really good times. People always seem to be relaxed in the summer atmosphere. So jump on your boat, grab some friends and come across the bay. Good food and drinks. Drink responsibly people.

It took 2 hours to get our food. The food was ok. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Never again. Such a shame because it could be a great place.

Wish I could give it 0 stars but unfortunately that is not an option. Me and my friend walked 35 minutes to this restaurant hoping for a good meal. First off the server was terrible, at some point I had to stand up to get my own ketchup behind the bar it wasn’t even busy 8pm. Took 40 minutes to get one plate of chicken parm the plate had 10 cold thick unsalted fries and a corn on the cob. 0/10 do not recommend

Recently visited, had the Mahi sandwich. Perfect! Been a patron since our childhood vacations. Kismet and Cole Family & The Inn, my happy place.

The food is mediocre, but there aren’t many options for a meal out of the house in kismet/saltaire. Sometimes you just don’t want to cook, and the Inn definitely hits the spot on those occasions. Sitting at the bar is always a good time. Good music selection, cold beer, hot steamers. What more could you want from a place like this? I’ve been coming to the Inn for the better part of 30 years, and I’m not stopping just because the food isn’t 5-star. Keep on keepin on, Inn. You’re good.

Zero stars if I could. Highly dissatisfied in all aspects- food, service, wait time, pricing. A friend & I just came to dine in today- off season for them now since everyone is back to school. The restaurant when we walked in was not too busy, a handful of tables and people at the bar. The waitress was not the friendliest, she just seemed short as we were ordering. We chose to split the chicken parmesan entree and order a Caesar salad & mussels as an appetizer. The caesar salad was just okay- lacking dressing. The mussels were subpar- I had better white wine sauce. The appetizers came out in a typical time frame- around 10 minutes after ordering. As for the chicken parmesan- we were unpleasantly surprised once the plate arrived to the table after a 40 minute wait time (& the waitress ran away right after.) First- the portion was crazy for a $30 price point. One hefty piece of chewy chicken that was tough to slice through, maybe only 8 crinkle cut frozen unsalted fries & one corn on the cobb. We had wished the waitress would have warned us of the portion size when we told her we were splitting it. My friend also had to get the ketchup herself-she asked the waitress and 5 minutes later we saw her just bussing tables to get out quicker we were assuming. I guess this is why there is a lack of photos of the food they serve online. 0/10 would not return.

If you’re reading this while deciding whether to go or not…. don’t.
The “lobster” roll is not real lobster. The service was terribly slow, and the atmosphere was dead.
Dive is right next door and serves actual food

Go for the atmosphere not for the food.
Chicken parm was about 2 inches thick
No seasoning. Just takes a little bit of time to get it right. French fries..soggy frozen crinkle fries.
Shrimp scampi broiled.. over cooked and breading was soggy as well.
The server lacked any kind of experience I think. Had to call her over several times and it wasn’t even busy.
We will try again just to see if it was an off night..
